教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in Teacher:When we learn English, everyone will meet problems learning English Such as: listening; speaking…… Teacher:What things are difficult for you ... Step 2 Finish Task 1a and 1b Read the sentences in 1a aloud, and try to understand the meanings. Learning English can be difficult. Check the statements that are true for you. ③Learn the new words: Step 3 Free Talk T: When we meet these difficulties learning English, how can we solve them Now let’s talk about some solutions to solve these problems. Show the solutions: A:How can you improve your listening B: I can improve my listening by listening to English songs and by listening to the English tapes. … Step 3 Finish the task in 1c T:Paul finds it difficult to learn English. He meets lots of challenges when he learns English. Let’s listen and complete the learning challenges he talks about. Listen to the tapes. And fill in the charts. Check the answers. Step 4 Finish the task in 1d T: It’s difficult for Paul to learn English. And Ms. Manson gives him so many solutions. Now let’s listen again and complete the solutions. Listen to the tapes and fill in the blanks. Check the answers. Step 5.Post Reading I Listen to the tapes again. Match the challenges to the solutions. Check the answers. Step 6 Post Reading II Listen to the tapes and repeat out aloud. Pay attention to the following sentences underline. Read them aloud. T: From the sentences underline, we can learn that when we express suggestions, we can use the expressions like: Why don’t you… Why not… … Step 7 Finish the task in 1e Read the sample conversation in 1e.
