How many bikes do you have in your life For 70-year-old Chai Lin, the answer is over1,300.
When Chai was young, he saw some people riding bikes in his home city of Lanzhou, Gansu Province.
“They were like flying on the streets, and my heart (心脏) went flying with them,” said Chai. Since then, he has dreamed of having a bike.
Chai got his first bike at the price of 880 yuan in 1980. After becoming a businessman (商人)years later, Chai has enough money to buy cars. But his favorite is still the bike. He began to collect (收藏) bikes of different brands (品牌)and ages from around the world.
Chai had more and more bikes. And there was not enough room for all of them. In 2009, he began building(建造) a museum in Lanzhou just for his bikes. My 8-year-old daughter started to learn how to skateboard (滑滑板) two weeks ago. One day, we walked to the skate park to practice. But there were many young boys there. Studies show that staying in a green place will make people feel comfortable (舒服的) and happy. But how about blue places They are beaches, rivers, lakes and some other places with water.
“There are a lot of studies on how green places help with people's health and feelings, but not many on blue places,” Mark Nieuwenhuijsen, a scientist(科学家) says.
Are blue places good for people's health and feelings too To learn about it, Mark and his group made a study. It took three weeks. In the first week, 59 people spent 20 minutes each day walking along a beach. Then, during the second week, they spent 20 minutes walking along city streets.
