a lot. We may see a different kind of art and be completely disappointed. We
may try to speak or write a different language and end up embarrassing
ourselves.

a new food. And we fall in love with it finally. It can be sweet or taste very
good. We may try a new sport and fall down but we get back up and finally
experience pleasure, even for a minute. We may see why people love that

  Everyone has their own personality traits(性格特点), but you may
think some are not good for your growth. 1.
Face up to your faults(缺点). 2. Think about it carefully and
write down the traits, like the ones that always get you into trouble. You can
also ask a friend or a family member for help.
When you are talking with people who know you well, ask them what
they think your faults are. Other people may help you see yourself more
clearly. They can sometimes see some of your faults that you don’t know.

3. There must be someone you look up to in real life. Maybe they
are hosts, writers, doctors or scientists. Try reading stories or watching
videos about these people. This can help you find out the personality traits
that they have.
Put your ideas into practice. You can get started after you decide on the
traits you want to change. But if you try to change many personality traits at
once, you won’t be able to focus on any of them. 4. To have a good
beginning, you can start with easier ones.

Be patient. 5. It can take months or years for your new
personality traits to develop. But if you practise them long enough, you’ll
make it in the end. Keep moving forward and don’t give up!

If there is no fear, there is no need for courage. That is to say, courage is
the ability to do what makes you feel afraid. Courage doesn’t only mean great
actions such as saving one’s life or taking a big risk. 3. For example,

class or try a new sport.
Courage is in everyday choices we make. Can you be kind to the new
kid in class? 4. Or can you stand up for someone in need? Often,
these things don’t come with praise, but they need courage.
