1. I'm feeling really sad because I failed the English. 我感觉真的很伤心，因为我英语考试不及格。
1）fail意为"不及格，失败"，等于not pass，其名词是 failure。
I’m sorry to hear that Bill failed the exam again. =
I'm sorry to hear that Bill didn't pass the exam again. 很遗憾我听说比尔考试又失败。
Failure is the mother of success. 失败是成功之母。
2）fail to do sth. 失败，未能（做到），未做。
The boy failed to stop eating sweets at last. 这男孩最终没有戒掉吃糖。
2.Everyone gets these feelings at your age. 每个人在你这个年纪时都会有这些感受。
at one's age 意为“在某人这般年纪时”。如:
Your father began to work at your age.你父亲在你这个年纪时就开始工作了。
at the age of 意为“在……岁时”。如:
At the age of seven (=When he was seven), he could swim. 7岁时，他就会游泳了。
2. She always tells me jokes and makes me laugh. 她总是给我讲笑话让我笑。
1）make sb.do sth. 意为"使得某人做某事"。在这里 make 是“使、使得”的意思，一般用于" make+ 宾语＋宾补"的结构，make sb.do sth. 后面的宾补是一个 不带 to 的动词不定式。
Mrs. Lin is strict with her son. She always makes him finish his homework first before dinner.
林女士对他儿子很严格，她总是让他在晚餐前先完成作业。
make + sb. + n. 意为"选某人做什么"。
All the students made Mr. Chen the headmaster. 所有的学生都推选陈老师当校长。
make + sb./sth. + adj. 意为"使得某人/某物处于某种状态"。
Joy's illness made his mother worried. 乔的病让他妈妈很担心。
make sb. sth. = make sb. for sth. 为某人做某物
2）tell jokes/ a joke 讲笑话 Our history teacher can tell all kinds of jokes. 我们历史老师会讲各种各样的笑话。
3. By the way, Miss Wang says that you want to be friends with me. 顺便说一下，王老师说你想和我做朋友。
by the way 意为"顺便说一下，顺便问一下"
类似的短语有：on one's way to…. 去……的路上 in this way 用这种方式 in the way “ 挡路，碍事”

any在疑问句、否定句中接复数，表“一些”，在肯定句中接单数，表“任何一个”。
have problems with +名词，have problems (in) doing sth.，表示"有问题"。

I have some problems（in）finding the answer to the question. 我无法找出这个问题的答案。
