World Oceans Day was marked in varieties of ways by our school last Friday.
The celebrations, which consisted of 3 parts, began with a presentation by a sea scientist to improve our understanding of oceans. What came next was a photography exhibition of images in which people are either exploiting the ocean or murdering the marine life without mercy.
We had a better understanding of the effects human activities have on oceans. There is an urgent need to strengthen the bonds between humans and oceans which provide a breeding ground for life.
