Waste Sorting: A Step to a Greener Future
It is disturbing to see piles of rubbish produced every day. However, a majority of citizens fail to fall into the habit of sorting waste, which otherwise could bring about huge benefits.
Initially, some waste which tends to be casually thrown into dustbin, such as paper, can actually be recycled or reused. Additionally, it can make a significant difference to environmental protection.
Therefore, it’s time that government should take immediate action to call for waste sorting. Besides, colorful garbage cans with clear waste sorting images can be designed to encourage people to sort rubbish. Only with joint efforts, can we embrace a greener future.
第二节(满分25分)
One possible version:
When I woke up, I didn’t find a smog-filled city as expected. What I found was a city with plenty of grass, a school only two blocks from my new house, a supermarket within walking distance, and a friendly neighborhood full of children of my age. I went out into the neighborhood, eager to explore the streets lined with unfamiliar houses. I actively sought opportunities to engage with my surroundings, striking up conversations with fellow children who were willing to play with me and be my friends.
As I got used to this new setting, I realized that I didn’t have to be afraid of change. Although I’d left where I lived and it seemed that I’d lost my old friends, I could still make new friends, and the memories of my old friends would always be with me. I learned that change isn’t scary, and that I should always look on the bright side of things and make the best of what I have. Now, whenever I face something new and challenging, I don’t think about all the bad things that may happen. Instead, I think of all the good things that will happen.
