“by+动词-ing形式”表方式
“by+动词-ing”表示“通过做……”,在句中作方式状语,一般用来回答以how引导的、询问行为方式的特殊疑问句。by为介词,有“通过;借助;用(某种方法或手段)”等含义。

1.“by+地点名词”表示方位,意为“在……旁边;靠近”。

2.“by+交通工具、交通方式名词(名词前不加冠词,且名词不用复数
形式)”意为“通过……;由……;乘……”。
