Unit 10 A birthday party
单元分析（Unit Analysis）
（一）单元地位（Unit Position）
1 本课出现了提出建议的表达句式，“Le ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )t’s…”、“Shall we… ”，以及对建议表达“接受”和“拒绝”的交际句式，“Yes, I am free.”、“I’m sorry, I can’t make it.”、“Yes, that’s a good idea.”、“It’s too…I’d rather…”。作为功能性语言，教师可以设计多个场景，在课堂教学中加以一定的机械性训练。
2 本课出现了用情态动词may表达可能性的 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )用法，“What else may Kitty need to buy ”可以结合may表示“许可”进行比较，并可适当延伸至maybe的用法。

用婉转的语气推辞对方的邀请：“I’m sorry, I can’t make it”。

对于page 4的教学建议 本课内容有关制作蛋糕所需的原料。先复 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )习6A制作pizza时需要的原料，引入本课主题。可以设计Flower gramme的形式，让学生根据已有的生活体验写出所需的原料，也是对以前学过的单词的复习巩固。听过课文录音后对spider gramme的内容作补充，再根据spider gramme进行pair work。最后完成shopping list。Flower gramme的设计见 [链接2]
课文page 6 的处理 本课的内容有关蛋糕的制作过程，步 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )骤增加到八步。建议采用实践操作（烤箱可以用微波炉替代）。制作过程中穿插Project 1中P91“Find out and write”。学生在分享蛋糕制作的过程和品尝蛋糕中学会一组制作过程的动词。课文制作蛋糕图片见[链接4] Grammar Practice book p4,6
