As a kid, I didn’t care much for my teeth. My mom and dad always ask me to brush them, but beyond that
the only thought I ever gave to my mouth was what kind of candy to put in it. That of course ended when I had a
sudden terrible toothache at the back of my mouth. After some discussion, they decided that Mom was going to
take me to see her dentist.
A dentist office has a special smell that you don’t find in a doctor’s office. That smell is the only thing I
remember as I sat in the chair waiting for my name to be called. When they finally did open a door and call my
name, I remember feeling like it was the longest walk of my life.
The first time seeing the dental tools when you are a little person is very horrible. I was sure to be worse than
death. The dentist was a lot kinder than my doctor and made the whole visit pass as quickly as possible. Yes, I had
a cavity(蛀洞) and made a plan for a set of follow up visits. He also gave me an electric toothbrush and told me
that I had better use it if I wanted to keep the rest of my teeth and told my mom about how a water floss would

parts, she would give me one of her LCD monitors.
Nine hours later, I had one fully-functional computer. Actually it wouldn’t have taken that long, but the

Have good qualities

behavior(行为) of one’s company(陪伴).” For example, if we stay close to those dishonest people, we will also
become dishonest.
Often make progress(进步)

Be able to help you
