本单元的主题是介绍人物外貌或性格特征,本节课是本单元的第六课时,是一节阅读课。教材通过介绍Robin,进而让学生学会描述自己设计的机器人。学生能运用句型“His/Her name is …”“He/She is …”“He/She can …”来描述自己的朋友。教师可以采用图示法或提纲式板书归纳主要信息,帮助学生更好地了解本部分的写作方式。
1.能够理解Read and write的大意,并能用正确的语音语调朗读;
2.能够听、说、认读单词和词组:speak Chinese、make (made)、finish;
3.能够介绍自己设计的机器人,能使用句型“He/She is …”“He/She can …”进行细节描述,并能正确书写;

教师创设语境,学生明确本节课的话题是围绕机器人展开的,介绍Robin的功能和性格特点,为文章的讲解做铺垫。

教师引导学生,自己设计一款机器人,并介绍一下。教师先进行举例:
I have a robot, too. His name is Cat. He is short but strong. He is really polite. He can say “Please! Sorry! Thank you!” He is clever, too. He can speak Chinese and English. He is very funny. I like him very much.
教师进行总结,如何介绍自己设计的机器人,分别从name、can、feature三部分进行介绍。
学生进行机器人的设计并做介绍。
