What do you know about reefs
A reef is a ridge of material at or near the surface of the ocean. There are natural and artificial reefs. Ecosystems are sometimes classified into terrestrial, or land-based, and aquatic. Coral reefs are one of the most diverse and delicate ecosystems on the planet.
There are three main types of coral reefs: fringing reefs, barrier reefs, and atolls. Fringing reefs extend to the ocean directly from shore. Barrier reefs are the most common type of reef. They are separated from the coast by a ring of water known as a lagoon.
