Grammar- 宾语从句的时态
1.由从属连词that引导的宾语从句
e.g.
1.I hear (that) he will be back in an hour.
2.He said (that) he missed us very much.
注:that 在句中无词汇意义,在从句中不能充当成分,在口语当中往往省略
2.由从属连词 whether, if 引导的宾语从句
(1) if/whether 引导宾语从句 表示“是否”
(2) if/whether可互换,
(3) 但whether…or not为固定搭配.
I want to know if/whether she is right .
They didn’t know whether Tom could come back or not .
3. If 与whether 的区别
与or not 连用只能用whether
I don’t know whether he will come or not
介词后只能用whether
I don’t care of whether he is handsome.
与to do 不定式连用只能用whether
He wondered whether to stay here the next week.
作主语只能用whether
Whether he will come is not decided.
