She has been selected as the best female athlete of IAAF for two consecutive years and won Lawrence Best Athlete Award. She is the first female athlete to break the record of 5 meters in pole vault. She has set new indoor and outdoor world records 28 times in her career, and is called “bubka in Skirt”.
