Though he was one of the brightest students at the Ivanovo University of Mathematics and getting a scholarship, he was expelled(被开除)because of his fashion choices, and then he was stayed away from by most of his friends and relatives and even beaten by locals in his hometown for walking around in women’s clothes. But he continues his fight for the right to dress any way he likes, and hopes to one day be able to walk around in his skirts without being against. And he has prepared over 30 women’s dresses.

When Anna first arrived in Wuhan, she couldn’t speak any Chinese, and she knew very little about China. She couldn’t use chopsticks, either. So for the first two or three weeks, she had to take a fork and spoon with her when she went to eat in restaurant But now, with the help of her friends, she can use chopsticks very well.
Food was a big problem, too. It took her a few weeks to get used to Chinese food. She didn’t really like it at first. She thought it was too oily(油腻的). Also,she doesn’t eat much rice. She usually eats bread, and her bread is quite different from most bread in China. Chinese bread is usually light and sweet. So she makes her own bread at home. But that isn’t really a problem. After she’d been in Wuhan for about a month, she found out that there were Muslims there, too—and lots of Muslim restaurants! Most of them serve Xinjiang food, which is very similar to the food she eats. So now her food problems are solved.
What still puzzles her now is communication. After she has stayed in Wuhan for half a year, she is just able to speak several Chinese words. Each time she goes to a market to buy things, she finds great difficulty in making herself understood with her broken Chinese. Sometimes her body language helps, but it doesn't always happen. However, she has made friends with a girl who can speak Chinese very well, and she decides to learn from her.

More than anything else in the world, Lion liked being King of the jungle. He walked around, showing off his power and pride.
Each day Lion took a long lazy sleep under the shade of his favourite tree. He always dreamed of weaker animals bowing(鞠躬) before him.

Guy de Maupassant was born in Normandy on August 5, 1850. When he was a student, he started to write poems. In 1869, he began to study law. At the age of 20, he started to serve in the army. Later, he met the novelist Gustave Haubert, who encouraged him to write stories and influenced his writing greatly.
During his lifetime, he wrote 300 stories, 6 novels and 3 travel books. Many of his short stories have been translated into English and other languages, and are very popular to readers. The Necklace is the best works of all.
He was considered as one of the greatest FVench short story writers. Sadly, he parsed away on July 6 , 1893, at the age of 43.
