1.Conscious (有意识的) living is not just a trend. ①______ It is about being intentional with everything you do—your words, actions, beliefs, habits, and choices. Accepting conscious living takes some effort, but it is worthwhile. Here are some ways you can achieve this goal.
●Be conscious about your time.
Time is the most precious thing because there is no way to live a moment again. ②______ If you waste your precious hours doing negative things, you will regret it later. The first step for living consciously is to be wise about your time. Be selective about things you spend it on, and allocate (分配) it for positive activities.
●③______
You cannot achieve them unless you understand your needs and intentions. It is easier said than done because most people fail to make an effort to know themselves. Spend time thinking over and knowing your strengths and weaknesses. Once you know yourself better, you can create a plan to work towards becoming more patient, honest, and forgiving.
●Learn to be grateful.
Gratitude takes you a long way towards conscious living. It opens you up to a happier and a fulfilled mindset. Most people are unhappy because they see only the negatives in life. However, everyone has something to be grateful for. Writing a gratitude journal is a good start for counting your blessings. ④______
●Believe in yourself.
It is the key to making the right choices, yet not regretting the wrong ones. ⑤______ Spending time alone and thinking deeply are effective measures that enable you to identify the inner voice. Care for it and follow it to make it stronger down the line.
Conscious living is a skill you need to learn as you go, so be willing to make the effort and master it. You will absorb it soon and be a happier person in the long run.
A. Know yourself better.
B. Accept the person you are.
C. Life can be a lot better with the right decisions.
D. It is a healthy choice that enables you to be happy.
E. Pick it as a daily habit, and you will notice the difference.
F. The way you spend your time determines the course of your life.
G. The best way to build self-belief is by reflecting on your own thoughts.
2. I'm a hiker—"born to hike". It does my heart and soul good to take a pack and head out on a trail(小路), especially when I'm alone and can let my mind wander where it will. ①________.
Hiking keeps your brain sharper than many other forms of exercise. As a professional writer, although I am busy with my work, I often spare some time to hike. ②________.
③________. Exercise in general can be a good way to decrease stress. But what sets hiking apart from other forms of exercise is that hiking can happen almost anywhere and give you the happiness that you can take from nature.
Hiking can increase our creativity. I'm sure I'm not alone in finding that walks in nature let my mind wander freely in creative directions. ④________. Sometimes, ideas relevant to music come up from unconscious places when I'm not deliberately thinking.
Hiking helps strengthen a positive relationship with the natural world. Besides being good for us, hiking may also help the world around us. After all, if we stick to walking and covering longer distances, we could use cars less and reduce our carbon footprint. ⑤________. For example, it increases our connection to nature. As one study suggests, when we have a personal connection to nature, we are more likely to want to protect it. That means experiences in nature—like hiking—can be mutually(相互地) beneficial, helping people and the earth.
So, grab a water bottle, a backpack... and head out on the trail. You won't be sorry you did.
A. Hiking helps to keep you calm and happy
B. Beyond that, hiking benefits our planet indirectly
C. Following are the benefits you can get from hiking
D. In fact, I've written many of my songs while hiking on a trail

G. This all goes to show that hiking maybe one of the best ways to move your body
3. Some people prefer to have a bite to eat before hitting the gym, known as a fed workout. Others would like to wait until after exercising to refuel their bodies, called a fasted workout. ①_________ Many experts say there's no easy answer because it depends on the person.
If you want energy and strength for an ideal workout, you need fuel. A fed workout will provide your body with power. Eating before exercise may help you sustain longer sessions and lift heavier weights. ②_________ Muscle preservation is also an essential component of strengthening your body. Nitrogen (氮) is critical for processing protein that builds healthy muscles. People tend to lose less nitrogen during a fed workout than a fasted one.
Many fitness enthusiasts are not on board with this idea. They report feeling sick and inactive while trying to exercise after eating. With a fasted workout, you may not get the usual indigestion. Experts for fasted workouts further claim that eating afterwards makes your body use its fat reserves for energy, meaning you will burn more fat. ③_________ It can cause a sudden drop in your blood glucose (葡萄糖) levels, and you may feel dizzy. You may even be more likely to overeat.
④_________ Not all foods are created equal. For example, if you choose a fed workout, you'll probably lose a lot of water during an intense training, so you should consider drinking some beforehand. With a fasted workout, it would help if you had some nutrition right after your session is complete. Drink some water. Then, have a light meal or nutritional snack.
Deciding when to eat for an ideal workout is a personal choice. Both fasted workouts and fed activities have their benefits and shortcomings. ⑤_________
A.However, a fasted workout might not work for you.
B.How your body will respond is based on your workout intensity.
C.These benefits can result in burning more fat and shaping a slimmer body.
D.To eat or not to eat, that is the question on many fitness enthusiasts' minds.
E.Think thoroughly and discuss with your fitness instructor before taking a choice.
F.Knowing what to eat for an ideal workout is just as important as knowing when to eat.
G.A person doing a 30-minute session a day may not have a problem with fasted workouts.
4. Complaining is often looked at as a negative, but if you perfect it, great things can happen.
①_____ Experts insist that too much complaining will lower your empathy(共鸣)and stop you achieving your dream and living the life you want. They suggest that you cut out negativity from your life, especially people who complain.
②_____ Once we discover how to effectively integrate it, great things can happen. Dr Robin Kowalski found those who complain with the hopes of achieving a certain result tend to be happier.
Complaining also influences how people see us, creates social bonds, encourages empathy and helps create real changes. It plays a very important role in our lives and is a skill that can be extremely effective. ③_____
So here are some ways to deal with complaining in a skillful way.

As one gets older, it might help slow down or even cease cognitive decline. ①_____Many Americans don't read frequently. It's time to reverse this trend to give your brain gray matter a good workout.
②_____When you have some down time—you're waiting for a friend, sleeping lightly on the way from or to work, or doing a task that doesn't require your full attention—you can open your text instead of pulling up your favorite smartphone game. ③_____While paper is still the clear winner in the court of public opinion, science hasn't proven that physical books are better than digital ones.
Academic research has mostly focused on the ability to remember. A study took place in a laboratory setting: Students all read the same text, but some looked at the words on paper and others viewed an on-screen PDF. It turned out that no meaningful difference between the two media existed. As for audiobooks, they affected the brain gray matter somewhat differently. ④_____

●Continually challenge yourself to try something new. ③_____ Artistic growth can be a bit painful. Welcome to the club; we've all been there. I love taking on challenges. I once took up a challenge to create a painting every day for a month and post the works online.
●④_____ Seeking and accepting constructive feedback is crucial to growth. I post my work on social media and, in turn, have met some of the kindest people. They make me feel valued and respected, no matter my level of artistic ability.
The journey you're on won't follow a straight path. ⑤_____ Push through, give it time and put in the effort. You will harvest the rewards of an artistic life.

Take classes, workshops, or lessons to improve your skills, and don't be afraid to ask other people for help along the way. By putting yourself first, you can promote your self-confidence and find your place and value.

Reading books can exercise your brain. Kids who started reading at an earlier age go on to perform better on certain intelligence tests, such as analyses of their vocabulary size. As one gets older, it might help slow down or even cease cognitive decline.(读书可以锻炼你的大脑。
When you have some down time—you're waiting for a friend, sleeping lightly on the way from or to work, or doing a task that doesn't require your full attention—you can open your text instead of pulling up your favorite smartphone game.(当你有空的时候——比如在等朋友的时候,在上下班的路上睡觉的时候,或者在做一件不需要你全神贯注的事情的时候——你可以打开你的文本而不是打开你最喜欢的智能手机游戏)"可知,后文提到了利用空闲时候来阅读,可见本句是在建议随身带上阅读的书籍,故E选项"随身携带一本书、电子阅读器或有声读物应用"符合语境。
While paper is still the clear winner in the court of public opinion, science hasn't proven that physical books are better than digital ones.(虽然纸质书仍然是公众舆论的赢家,但科学还没有证明纸质书比数字书更好)"可知,后文提到了纸质书是舆论的赢家,可见本句是在说明这一舆论的内容,后文则说明舆论的结果,D选项中debate对应后文中public opinion。

It turned out that no meaningful difference between the two media existed. As for audiobooks, they affected the brain gray matter somewhat differently.(学术研究主要集中在记忆能力上。
Ultimately, if you hope to get a reading habit going, you shouldn't dismiss paper digital, or audio(最后,如果你希望养成阅读习惯,你就不应该放弃纸质、数字或音频)"以及后文"
You'll want to look back on your journey to see how far you've come"(你会想要回顾自己的旅程,看看自己已经走了多远),因此空处应该会做一个关于"看什么来回顾"的铺垫,C项中的"your beginner art"可以帮助你看到自己从开始到现在走了多远,故C项符合语境。
Whether you paint still lives, portraits, or landscapes, paint from life as much as possible"(无论你是画静物画、肖像画还是风景画,都要尽可能多地写生),G项"你将培养出只有重复才能得到的绘画肌肉记忆"讲到这样做的目的和好处,承接上文,符合语境。
Artistic growth can be a bit painful"(艺术之旅的成长有时会有些令人痛苦),A项"走出你的舒适区"符合语境,且能引出下文。故选A。
根据本段中的"Seeking and accepting constructive feedback(反馈)is crucial...They make me feel valued and respected"可知,本段讲到了可以利用社交媒体寻求建设性的反馈以及这样做的好处,故D项"分享你的作品,如果这样做让你觉得舒服"适合作本段的主旨句。
The journey you're on won't follow a straight path" (你的旅途不会一路平坦),而空后讲到了"Push through, give it time and put in the effort"(坚持下去,给它时间,付出努力),这是面对困境时的做法,因此空处应承接上一句,讲到旅途中的困难,故E项"你会遇到障碍,有时你会感到沮丧"符合语境。故选E。
It's natural to compare yourself to others, and even envy them, if you hop on your social nedia for a few minutes. With just a few clicks, you're flooded with vacation photos, updates, and ads.(如果你在社交媒体上花几分钟时间,就会很自然地将自己与他人进行比较,甚至羡慕他们。 In this article, we'll teach you ho to avoid certain triggers (触发因素) so you can stop comparing yourself to others.(在这篇文章中,我们将教你如何避免某些触发因素,这样你就可以不再将自己与他人进行比较。)"
To stop comparing yourself to others pay attention to the people or events that trigger your behavior, Do you feel dissatisfaction with your life after looking at high-end goods Write down your comparative thoughts as soon as they happen so you can limit your exposure to these situations.(一旦出现比较想法,就立即将其写下来,这样你就可以限制自己接触这些情况。)"
Appreciate others instead of.
Instead of focusing on your weaknesses," reflect on the areas you can improve
Take classes, workshops, or lessons to improve you skills, and don't be afraid to ask other people for help along the way. By putting yourself first, you can promote your self-confidence and find your place and value.(不要只关注自己的"弱点",而要反思自己可以前改进的地方。
Discuss your comparative behavior with a loved one to release any negative beliefs and help you process your emotions.(与所爱之人讨论你的比较行为,以释放任何消极信念并帮助你处理情绪)"指出与所爱之人讨论你的比较行为,空处承接上文,指出这么做会带来什么样的结果,E项"你可能会惊讶地听到他们和你有同样的感受。"符合。故选E。
In order for kids to be able to appreciate natural wonders, shapes and pictures, they must be able to first notice them. This is why the development of the ability to notice the beautiful is the primary task of aesthetic education. Kids are incapable of noticing particular shapes if their ability to notice objects and forms is undeveloped. The aesthetic relationship begins with the noticing of aesthetic qualities.
This means that they generate emotional responses like excitement and joy, enriching individuals' emotional lives and inspiring artistic expression. 故选A。
The ability to experience aesthetically must also be developed. The cognitive elements of the processes that we experience during noticing must also include emotional tones with which we form impressions. The aim of this task is, with the aid of aesthetic qualities, to enrich the emotional life of children and young people and the development of a sense for aesthetic values.
It is essential to allow children to participate in activities that will develop their creative abilities. Instead, it is about creativity in the creation of aesthetic values in everyday life. We are not simply born with creative abilities which have to be developed.
Judging or evaluating aesthetic qualities demands formed evaluation criteria. In order for beauty to reveal its true value, we must be familiar with its particularities. Throughout the process of aesthetic education, various types of knowledge, abilities and evaluation criteria must be applied.
