过去进行时谓语动词的构成为“was/ were +动词现在分词”。

肯定句 主语+ was/were +现在分词+...
否定句 主语+ wasn’t/weren’t +现在分词+...
一般 疑问句 Was/Were+主语+现在分词+...
肯定回答: Yes, 主语+ was/were.
否定回答: No, 主语+ wasn’t/weren’t.
特殊 疑问句 疑问词+ was/were +主语+现在分词+...
3.句式变化
相同点 两者都表示过去发生的动作。
不同点 含义不同：一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态；过去进行时表示过去某一时刻或某段时间正在进行的动作。
时间状语不同：一般过去时的时间状语通常比较笼统，不具体，如yesterday, just now, last year, three days ago等；过去进行时态的时间状语通常比较具体，如at that time, at 11 yesterday, between 8 and 10 last Saturday等。
