be supposed to 意为按规则、规律、义务或约定“应当；理应”去做某事，to为动词不定式符号，接动词原形。
be supposed to的语意相当于should
e.g. 你应当更努力地学习。
You’re supposed to study harder. =You should study harder.
be expected to 意为被期许(预期)会做某事，被要求做某事，希望做某事，表示可能性。
e.g. 希望她能在晚餐前到达。
She was expected to arrive before dinner.

当be supposed to 的主语是物时，表示 “本应；本该”。表示 “某事应该发生却没有发生”
“be supposed to + have+及物动词过去分词” 表示“本应该做而没做 ” 是虚拟语气的一种表达方式，含有责备、失望之意
