After listening, let students read these new words loudly by themselves. ·Invite two students to read the words for the whole class. ·Present the new words and some related language points. 1.dance n.舞蹈 v.跳舞 （1）n.舞蹈，舞步 e.g. go to a dance去跳舞 The waltz is a beautiful dance.华尔兹是一种优美的舞蹈。 （2）v.跳舞 e.g. Would you like to dance with me 你愿意和我一起跳舞吗？ Look! The girl is dancing under the tree.看！那个小女孩在树下跳舞。 2.clean v.打扫 adj.清洁的；干净的 （1）v.打扫 同义词：sweep（打扫） （2）adj.清洁的；干净的 反义词：dirty（脏的） 拓： cleaner n.清洁工；清洁工具 clean out 清除 clean up 打扫干净 clean the room 打扫房间 do some cleaning打扫卫生 3.sweep v.清扫；打扫 （1）拓：sweep the floor扫地 sweep away扫走 4.cook v.烹调；煮 （1）v.烹调；煮 cook作动词时，其后可接双宾语，即cook sb. sth. = cook sth. for sb.为某人烹制某物 e.g. My mother cooks us dinner every day. = My mother cooks dinner for us every day. 我妈妈每天给我们做饭。 （2）n.厨师；炊事员 e.g. My uncle is a good cook. 我叔叔是一个好厨师。 5.meal n.一餐 （1）meal泛指不具体的早、中、晚餐，是cn. e.g. It’s not good for you to miss meals. 不吃饭对你身体不好。 6.speak v.说话 （1）speak + 语言 讲（某种）语言 e.g. I can speak a little Chinese. 我会说一点儿汉语。 speak to sb.和某人说话 7.happen v.发生 （1）sth. + happen(s) +地点/时间 “某时/某地发生了某事” e.g. The story happens in London. 这个故事发生在伦敦。 （2）sth. + happen(s) to sb. “某人出了某事” e.g. What happens to you 你怎么了？ （3）sb. happens to do sth. “某人碰巧做某事” e.g. Someone happens to meet her in the street.有人碰巧在街上遇到了她。 （4）It happens + that从句 “碰巧......”（当that从句的主语为人时，可与sb. happens to do sth.互换） e.g. It happens that I meet her in the street. 碰巧我在街上遇到了她。 8.ready adj.有准备的；准备好的 （1）短语：get/be ready for为......做好准备 get/be ready to do sth.准备好去做某事/乐于做某事 e.g. We are/ get ready for the trip. 我们准备好旅行了。 9.festival n.节日 （1）短语：Spring Festival春节 Mid-Autumn festival中秋节 10.at work在工作 （1）be at work相当于be working；be at work中的work是名词，此处不能用at working e.g. His father is at work in the hospital. = His father is working in the hospital. 他的爸爸正在医院里工作。 ·Let students do some exercises about the new words and phrases. ·Check answers together and solve the problems that the students cannot figure out. ·Let students make some simple sentences by using today’s new words and phrases. ·Lead the whole class to summarize what they have learned today. ·To attract students’ attention and help them become more familiar with the new words. ·To introduce some new words and phrases to the whole class. ·To help students learn to use the new words and expressions by controlled and guided practice. ·To help students use the new words more flexibly and creative. ·To help students develop the habit of reflecting.
