Look, these three students have some difficulties in learning English.
Kangkang is giving them some advice.
1a Look, listen and say.
Wang Junfeng: Kangkang, could you give us some advice on how to learn
English well
Kangkang: Sure. Two years ago, I was also weak in English. How to
improve it was my biggest problem. So I went to Mr. Brown
and I've learned a lot from him.
Wang Junfeng: Great. How do you remember new words
Kangkang: I always copy new words on pieces of paper, stick them on
the walls in my bedroom or in the living room, and read the
words aloud when I see them. I change them often. Also, I
always read the English words on the objects I see.
Li Hong: That sounds interesting. I'll try it. I always read English textbooks,
but some texts are difficult for me. Could you please tell me how
to improve my reading ability
Kangkang: Do more reading. Try to guess the meanings of new words, and
get the main idea of the article.
Li Ming: Kangkang, I dare not answer questions in class because I'm
afraid of making mistakes.
Kangkang: Don't be shy. Think about your answer, take a deep breath and
smile, and then answer the question. Smiling is always helpful.

stick to+n. /doing sth. 坚持某事/ 坚持做某事

3. Read the words aloud when I see them.
意思是“当我看见单词我会把它们大声念出来。”
【辨析】aloud, loud与loudly
①aloud是副词,重点在出声能让人听见,但声音不一定很大,常用在读书或说话上。通常放在动词之后。aloud没有比较级形式。
eg: He read the story aloud to his son.
他朗读那篇故事给他儿子听。
②loud可作形容词或副词。用作副词时常与speak, talk, laugh等动词连用,多用于比较级,须放在动词之后。
eg: She told us to speak a little louder.
她让我们说大声一点。
③loudly是副词,与loud同义,有时两者可替换使用,但往往含有令人讨厌或打扰别人的意思,可位于动词之前或之后。
eg: He does not talk loudly or laugh loudly in public.
他不当众大声谈笑。
4. Think about your answer, take a deep breath and smile,
and then answer the question.

Grammar
“疑问代词(副词)十动词不定式”结构(Wh- + to do):
一、不定式可以同疑问词what, which, how, where,when等连用,构成不定式短语,在句中常作主语、表语和宾语。如:
When to start hasn't been decided.何时动身尚未决定。(主语)
The question is where to get enough money.
问题是到哪里去弄到足够的资金。(表语)
The farmers didn't know what to do. 农民们不知道做什么。(宾语)
Please tell me how to get to the zoo. 请告诉我怎样到达动物园。(宾语)

请你给我们一些有关如何学好英语的建议好吗 (作介词的宾语)
二、作宾语时可以转换成宾语从句。
1. The farmers didn't know what to do.
=The farmers didn't know what they should do.
2. Please tell me how to get to the zoo.
=Please tell me how I can get to the zoo.
注意:如果主句中的主语或宾语与宾语从句中的主语一致时,宾语从句(由疑问词引导)通常可以与“疑问词+不定式”互相转化。反之则不能。如:
I don't know what I shall do.(改为同义句)
I don't know what to do.
I wanted to know what Mary was doing.(改为同义句)
不能说:I wanted to know what to do.
