一、Warming up.
1、Do you know that there is more than one kind of English?

分析:此句中more than one 译为
在意义上表示复数,但作主语成修饰主语时,谓语动词用单数。
eg: More than one person been invited to the party.
(不止一个人被邀请参加晚会)
拓展:和more than 有同样规律的many a (很多)
eg: Many a been invited to the party.
区分于Many persons have been invited to the party.
但是;如果more加复数可数名词+than one 作主语时,其谓语动词则要用复数。
eg: More parsons than one to the party. 不止一个人被邀请参加晚会
