They couldn’t guess, so I helped them. I said that the person’s favourite food was donuts. Five minutes later, they finished the whole puzzle.

based on 意为“以……为基础;基于”。

2. But whom should my puzzle be about
但我的这个谜语应该是关于谁的呢?
whom 意为“谁”。把whom置于疑问句句首的用法是较正式的用法;
在现代英语中,口语一般不用whom,而用who,但紧接在介词之后,
作介词的宾语时,不能用who,仍须用whom。
e.g. 你把那本书给谁了?
Who did you give the book to = To whom did you give the book
3. It would be somebody who I like very much.
那可能是我非常喜欢的一个人。
who引导定语从句,修饰somebody。如果先行词是anyone,anybody,
everyone,everybody,someone,somebody,关系代词应该用who或
whom,不用that或which。
e.g. Is there anyone here who will go with you
这里有人跟你一起去吗?
4. I am sending you the puzzle so you can try to guess who it is.
我现在把这个字谜发给你,这样你就可以猜猜字谜是关于谁的。
句中who it is是宾语从句,作动词guess的宾语。注意,宾语从句
要用陈述语序。
e.g. I want to know when he will come.
我想知道他什么时候回来。
He didn’t tell us who he would go with.
他并没有告诉我们他要和谁一起去。
5. I said that this person was the same age as them.
我说这个人和他们一样大。
the same... as… 意为“与……一样,和……相同”。same前面要加定冠词the。
e.g. She wants to buy the same blouse as I have.
她想买跟我的一样的衬衫。
Your answer is the same as his. 你的答案和他的一样。
反义词组为:be different from… 意为“与……不同”。
