I remember the green coat in my fifth and sixth grades.
When I needed a new jacket,my mother asked what kind I wanted.I described something like bikers wear. She listened long.I thought she understood for sure the kind I wanted.
The next day when I got home from school,I discovered,on my bed,a jacket which was not what I had expected.I went close to the jacket slowly,as if it were a stranger.
From the kitchen my mother shouted that my jacket was in the closet.I rushed and pulled at the clothes in the closet, hoping the jacket on the bed wasn't for me but my brother. No luck,I wanted to cry because it was so ugly and so big.But I knew I'd have to wear it for a long time before I'd have a new one.I looked at the jacket, like an enemy, thinking bad things before I took off my old and small jacket.
I put the big jacket on.I stood in front of the mirror(镜子),turning right and left.I looked ugly.
I threw it on my brother's bed and looked at it for a long time before I put it on and went out, smiling a “thank you” to my mom.
The next day I wore it to school. At the morning break,my best friend,Steve, looked at me for a long time. The girls turned away to whisper. The teachers looked my way and talked about how foolish I looked in my new jacket. When it was time for the whole school to get together on the playground, everyone saw me.Although they didn't say out aloud,“Man,that's ugly,” I heard their talk and even laughter.
And so I went,in my jacket. So embarrassed,so hurt,I couldn't even do my lessons the rest of the day.I received Cs on tests.
I wore that thing for three years. All in those years no love came to me.
I blamed(指责) that jacket for those bad years.I blamed my mother for her bad taste and her cheap ways.It was a sad time for the heart.Anyway,I spent my sixth grade year, looking forward to something good to happen to me.
And it was about that time I began to grow, still in that green jacket, which had become my brother who went along wherever I went.

Do you still hug your parents How do you feel when you hug them When do you need a hug the most
It was a cold November morning several years ago. My alarm clock had just gone off(发出响声), but I was having trouble getting out of bed. My dad had died a few weeks before. I felt weighed down by sadness and depression(沮丧).
Tough and strong, my dad had worked so hard all of his life to support us. He would sometimes shout at my brothers and me,but I always knew that he loved us. Still, he had been raised(养育) in a traditional way and raised us that way too. I couldn't remember, for example, ever being hugged by him.
After my mom and grandma died, my dad moved into grandma's home. I was so happy to have him close by. I would often visit him and just talk with him about life. But we still seldom(很少) touched and never hugged. Finally his own health began to quickly fail and within(在……之内) a few months he left us. It was a cold morning when we had his service(追悼会), but I was too cold inside myself to feel it. I couldn't remember when we'd had our last hug.
I sighed(叹气) and got out of my bed. I turned on the lights and walked into the hallway. I saw my son Jim walking down the hall to meet me. Suddenly, he opened his arms and gave me a heart-felt hug. And just as he did, I heard my dad's voice deep inside of me say, “Joey, this hug is from me!” I cried and smiled at the same time. In that moment, in the place where heart, mind, and spirit all meet, I felt loved. I felt loved by my dad. I felt loved by life.

instead relations communication wrong talkdecisions important argue they ask children
When you are teenagers,it seems that every time you say, “I want to…”, your parents answer, “No, you can't.”About this, you often 44. argue with your parents. Perhaps you get angry with them about it. If your parents don't offer 45. to talk with you, you may not want to talk with them for a long time.
Children often complain(抱怨) that their parents do not understand them. When something goes 47. wrong , most parents think their kids are to blame(应负责任) without 48. asking for any explanations. Many parents don't allow their kids to make 49. decisions or do things by themselves.50. Relations between children and their parents are becoming worse and worse. If you want 52. them to allow you to stay out late, don't just say,“All the other kids can stay out late.”53. Dear Eric,This problem is more common than you might think!E mail is very useful, but also very dangerous,as you don't know where your message might end up!First of all,you should say sorry right away to Joan.Explain that it was a mistake, and that you didn't mean to hurt her feelings. It may take time for her to be able to forgive you,but that's up to her. Then you might want to do something nice for her.Perhaps send her some flowers to show that you're truly sorry. Also, you should remember that old saying:“If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.”And good luck!Carla

Dear Daming,
I know your problem. You've made two mistakes. First, you used your classmate's pen without her permission. Second, when you broke the pen, you didn't tell her the truth. Yes,you must tell her immediately. If you tell her the truth, perhaps she'll be angry with you, but at least you'll prove you are honest.
Then I think you should offer to pay. You can use your pocket money to buy a new pen for her. She will realize that you're truly sorry.
