because引导的原因状语从句
【归纳】引导原因状语从句的连词有：because/since/as等；because语气最强。
【拓展】引导原因状语从句的其他连词：
since ：“因为；既然”，表示显然的/已为人知的原因，语气比because弱，位于主句前；
as: 表示附带说明“双方已知”的原因，语气比since弱，位于主句前/主句后；
【例句】
◆这个男孩迟到了，因为他起晚了。
◆因为天气非常糟糕，我们不得不呆在家里。
◆你不在，所以我在你的书桌上留了张便条。
The boy is late because he didn’t get up early.

so that 引导的目的状语从句
【归纳】
so that 意为“以便，为了”，从句含有情态动词can/could, will/would, may/might等。
so that…=in order that…/in order to do sth.
【例句】
◆为了能赶上早班公共汽车，他今天早上起得很早。
He got up early this morning so that he could catch the early bus.
= He got up early this morning in order that he could catch the early bus.
= He got up early this morning in order to catch the early bus.
so 引导的结果状语从句
【归纳】so 意为“因此；所以”，主句表原因，从句表结果。
【提醒】so和because不能同时连用。
【例句】
◆因为艾米生病了，所以她今天没来。
Amy is absent today because she is ill.
Amy is ill, so she is absent.
