Lan Huiyun is a geography teacher from Shuozhou, Shanxi Province. After his students finished the gaokao in 2022, he and 13 of his students experienced a special journey. They finally reached Qinghai Lake in Qinghai Province after riding about 2,000 kilometers in 18days.
They set off from their school, and before arriving in Qinghai, they passed through Shanxi, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, and Gansu.
In early May 2022, Lan began to plan this journey. To make sure of the students’ safety,Lan helped them do some training in riding. However, they also faced many difficulties on the journey.“When I noticed the students were tired or felt down, I would give them some snacks or tell them a joke to encourage(鼓励) them to move forward,”he said.“Luckily, all of us persisted(坚持) and finally reached Qinghai Lake.”
In fact, it wasn't the first time that Lan had organized such a journey for his students after the gaokao. In 2016, he and his 7 students rode from Shuozhou to Manzhouli. And in2019, he and his 11. students spent 16 days riding from Shuozhou to Shanghai.

Easter Island(复活节岛) is a famous place. It is home to about 1,000 large stone statues(石头雕像). The average(平均的) height of the statues is about 13 feet, but the tallest standing stone statue is 33 feet tall. Many years ago people living there made them. There are still many questions about how they were able to make and move such large statues.
Hundreds of stone statues are inside Rapa Nui National Park. Sadly, a fire happened in the park.
The park workers still work to find out how bad the damage (破坏) is. In fact, the fire damaged some of these famous stone statues. It is said that the stones became bigger because of the fire,and then shrank as they became cool.

In some parts of the world, children don't have enough food to eat or enough money to buy clothes or shoes, Every year at Sunshine Middle School, we do something to raise money for these children. This year we will have a Market(集市) Day.
The Market Day will fall on July 8. We're going to make the student center at our school look just like a big shopping center! People can come at any time from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and buy everything from clothes and books to cakes and flowers.
