一、教学目标

掌握六大时态的时间状语及常见的标志性词汇。

四、教学过程
Step 1: Lead-in (4 minutes)
Play a short video clip showing different activities happening at different times.
Ask students to describe what they see using simple sentences and try to guess the tenses used.
Step 2: Presentation (10 minutes)
Use PPT slides to present each of the six tenses one by one. For each tense:
(1)Explain the structure clearly, breaking it down into subject + verb form.
(2)List the common time expressions and signal words associated with the tense.
(3)Provide real-life scenarios and sentences to demonstrate the usage of the tense.
(4)Compare and contrast similar tenses to highlight the differences.

Step 3: Practice (9 minutes)
Fill in the blanks: Provide some sentences with blanks, and students need to fill in the correct verb forms based on the context and the tense required.
Sentence transformation: Give students some sentences in one tense and ask them to transform them into another tense while keeping the meaning unchanged.
Error correction: Present some sentences with tense mistakes and ask students to identify and correct them.
Contextualized Practice: Present short paragraphs with some verbs in the wrong tenses. Students work in pairs to correct the tenses and explain their choices.
Step 4: Reading and Comprehension (6 minutes)
Distribute a short reading passage that incorporates all six tenses.
Instruct students to read the passage silently and underline the verbs used in different tenses. Then, they should work in groups to discuss the functions and meanings of those tenses in the context of the passage.
Pose several comprehension questions related to the tenses used in the passage.
Step 5: Writing (7 minutes)
Assign a topic "My Dream Vacation" and ask students to write a short paragraph using at least three different tenses.
After writing, encourage students to exchange their papers with a partner. They should read each other's work and provide feedback on the correct use of tenses and overall clarity of the writing.
Step 6: Summary (3 minutes)
