一、教学目标
语言知识目标
1.学生能够准确拼写、发音和理解与公共假日相关的核心词汇和短语,并能在实际语境中正确运用。
2. 深入理解并熟练掌握宾语从句的构成及用法,特别是 that 引导的宾语从句,能够清晰辨别。
语言技能目标
能够听懂关于公共假日的复杂对话,迅速抓取关键信息。
能够运用丰富多样的词汇和准确的句型,表达个人观点和感受。
能够正确、流畅地朗读对话。
情感态度目标
培养学生对不同国家和文化背景下公共假日的尊重、欣赏和包容态度,增进跨文化理解。
激发学生对英语学习的浓厚兴趣,积极主动地探索语言背后的文化内涵,增强跨文化交流的意识和能力。
二、教学重难点
教学重点:
重点词汇、短语的精准理解与灵活运用,以及宾语从句在不同语境中的恰当使用。
听懂并透彻理解对话内容,全面、准确地提取有关公共假日的详细信息,并能进行简要概括和复述。
教学难点:宾语从句的复杂结构和语法规则的深入掌握,以及在实际表达中避免语法错误和语义混淆。

情景教学法、任务驱动法、互动教学法
四、教学过程
Step 1: Warming-up (5 minutes)
Play a short video clip showing people celebrating various public holidays around the world. After the video, ask students to name the public holidays they saw and share their initial thoughts and feelings about them.
Divide the class into small groups and have a brief discussion on the topic: What makes a public holiday special to you Encourage students to share their personal experiences and memories related to public holidays. Each group appoints a spokesperson to summarize their group's discussion and present it to the class.
Step 2: Vocabulary Presentation (6 minutes)
Use multimedia resources to present the new words and phrases related to public holidays on the PPT.
Explain the meanings, pronunciations, and usage of the new words and phrases in detail. Provide multiple examples to illustrate how they are used in different contexts.
Conduct a vocabulary quiz. Display the Chinese meanings of the new words and phrases on the screen and ask students to write down the corresponding English words or phrases. Then, check the answers together and correct any mistakes.
Step 3: Listening (8 minutes)
Before playing the recording of the dialogue for the first time, present a few pre-listening questions on the PPT: How many public holidays are mentioned in the dialogue What are they What are the people talking about these public holidays
2. Play the recording of the dialogue. Students listen carefully and try to answer the pre-listening questions.
3. Play the recording again. This time, pause after each sentence or paragraph to explain difficult words or phrases, and help students understand the context better. Then, ask students to answer some detailed questions: When did the specific public holiday start How do people usually celebrate it What are the traditions associated with it
Step 4: Reading (10 minutes)
Ask students to read the dialogue aloud together.
Instruct students to read the dialogue silently and complete the following tasks:
(1)Underline all the sentences with object clauses and analyze their structures.
(2)Make a table to summarize the key information about the public holidays mentioned in the dialogue.
3. Invite several students to share their findings and explanations regarding the object clauses and the table they completed. Discuss and clarify any misunderstandings.
Step 5: Language Points (12 minutes)
Focus on the key language points. Explain the grammar rules and usage of the object clauses clearly through examples and comparisons.
Provide some exercises related to the new language points. Students work in pairs to complete the exercises. Then, go through the answers together and explain the reasoning behind each answer.
Step 6: Practice and Production (7 minutes)
Have students work in pairs to role-play the dialogue.
Present a new topic related to public holidays. Ask students to make a new dialogue based on this situation, using the language and structures they have learned.
Invite several pairs to present their new dialogues in front of the class. Other students listen carefully and give comments and suggestions.
Step 6: Summary (3 minutes)
回顾本节课所学的新单词、短语和宾语从句的用法。
总结谈论公共假日和假期安排的常用表达方式。
Step 7: Homework (1 minutes)
用宾语从句写三个关于假期的句子。
