第四课时 Grammar 语法 一、单元语法精讲
(一)形容词+that/疑问词从句
1. 英语中有些形容词后面可以接 that 从句,常见的有:afraid, gald, pleased, sorry, surprised, upset, certain, happy, sad, sure, aware, worried, anxious 等。
We are all happy that you have come.
你来了,我们都很高兴。
I am worried that she has not recovered yet.
我担心她尚未康复。
2. 形容词后面可以接疑问词引导的从句。
I’m not sure when she will come.
我不确定她什么时候会来。

(二)宾语从句
??宾语从句即指主从复合句中用作宾语的句子。宾语从句通常由从属连词、连接代词或连接副词引导。宾语从句的语序要用陈述句语序,不能用疑问句语序。
1. 引导词的使用
(1) that 引导的宾语从句
that 只起引导词作用,不充当句子成分,没有词义,且通常可以省略。
He thinks (that) he will be famous some day.
他认为他总有一天会出名的。
※主句中的谓语动词是believe, expect, explain, suggest, imagine, prefer, promise, report, understand, warn, say, think, tell, know, hear, see, feel, mean, hope, wish, remember, forget 等,或谓语动词是由形容词 afraid, sure, sorry 等作表语的系表结构时,后面常接 that 引导宾语从句。

(2) if / whether 引导的宾语从句
if 和 whether 引导宾语从句,不充当句子成分,但是有词义,表示“是否”。
She wonders if / whether it is true.
她想知道这是不是真的。
(3) 连接代词引导的宾语从句
常见的引导宾语从句的连接代词有 what, who, whom, which, whose 等。
He asked who would like to go. 他问谁愿意去。
(4) 连接副词引导的宾语从句
常见的引导宾语从句的连接副词有 when, how, where, why 等。
Father asked me where I had put my book.
爸爸问我把书放在哪里了。

2. 时态的呼应
(1) 主句用一般现在时,从句可用任何一种时态。
I think he has finished his homework.
我认为他已经完成家庭作业了。
(2) 主句用一般过去时,从句一定要用与过去相关的时态。
I asked him whether he had finished his homework.
我问他是不是已经完成家庭作业了。
(3) 从句部分是客观真理,不管主句是什么时态,从句用一般现在时。
The teacher told the students that the Earth goes around the sun.
老师告诉学生们地球围绕着太阳转。3. 从句的语序
??无论主句是陈述句还是疑问句,宾语从句的语序都要用陈述句的语序,即:连接词+主语+谓语+其他。
Can you tell me who(m) we have to see?
你能告诉我我们必须见谁吗?

4. 否定的转移
当主句的谓语动词是 think, believe, suppose 等,而主句的主语又是第一人称时,后接从句的否定词通常要前移,即否定主句动词。
I don’t think he is honest. 我认为他不诚实。
I don’t believe he will succeed. 我相信他不会成功。
I don’t suppose he will go. 我想他不会去。

The Health of Middle School Students
The health of middle school students is getting worse and worse. Here are the results of a survey carried out in 2012 and 2015. In 2012, 46% of the students were short-sighted, but in 2015 the percentage was 74%. In 2012, nearly 36% of the students stayed up late or all night, but in 2015 the number rose to 67%. The number of the students who had fainted increased from 2% to 18%. Even worse, the percentage of the students developing mental health problems increased to 48%. Students in Junior Three had lots of homework to do, and they suffered from great pressure. I think that students should get less homework and do more exercise. Only in this way can students get plenty of sleep and become healthier.
