单元整体教学设计思路
本单元以生日为话题谈论生日活动，复习和拓展此话题。学习运用“How many candles are there There are five. Are there any ... on .... Yes, there are. / No, there aren’t. ”等句型进行数量问答，谈论某处有某物。
二、语篇研读（附图）
What： 本本板块呈现的是乌鸦喝水的经典故事 ，编者利用这个故事向学生拓展了表示位置的There be….否定句的句型：There is no water in the river. 板块提供了较为丰富的图片情景，符合学生的认知特点，有利于学生理解文本内容和培养学生的阅读理解能力。
Why: 本版块内容先背景交代天气炎热，乌鸦口渴，河里却没有水了。复习表示位置的There be 句型，并学习其否定句的句型：There is no water in the river.通过创设情景，激发学生的学习兴趣，鼓励学生把所学内容运用到生活实际中。
How: 本课时学习运用“There be….否定句的句型：There is no water in the river.”复习表示位置的There be ...等句型谈论某处有某物。同伴之间对话练习，强调学生在自主探究、小组合作和多元评价的过程中提高沟通能力和解决问题的能力。
三、教学对象分析
六年级英语在小学英语教学中起着承上启下的作用，既是五年级的衍生又是初中一年级的铺垫。我们的学生虽然已有三年的英语学习经验，但还存在很多问题。部分学生学习兴趣不是很高，个别的学生甚至对学习有厌恶感；回家不会学习，无正确的学习方法，学习态度谈不上十分端正，回家以后没有及时巩固练习；部分学生学习的目的性不是很强，导致学习习惯不好，学习无明确的计划，应付心理较强。作为语言学科，听读很关键，而大多数学生在这方面做得很不好。
教学目标
通过本课学习，学生能够：
1.在听、读、说的活动中，获取和梳理文章信息，理解文章内容及核心语言“There be….否定句的句型：There is no water in the river.”；(学习理解）
2.听、说、认读单词candle, cat, cake, picture, doctor, music, picnic; duck, luck,clock, black, sock 和音标/ k/，掌握字母Cc和字母组合ck的发音规律，并在老师和同学的帮助下能根据拼读规则拼读相应单词;（应用实践）
3.在小组内进行真实语境的创设，学习运用“There be….否定句的句型：There is no water in the river.”；通过学习课文内容懂得遇到问题不怕困难，积极解决的道理；根据拼读规则自然拼读含有字母c和字母组合ck的简单的单词，逐步形成有效的学习策略。（迁移创新）

Do you know any stories about it 以此问题导入，自然过渡到本节课的主要内容。 并拓展词汇crow，出示对应词卡，同学们朗读； Listen and complete 同学们各自有不同的经历，动物也一样。那课文中的乌鸦又会发生什么样的故事呢？我们一起听一听，说一说。 出示对话图片，播放音频，组织学生根据音频内容，跟读对话。帮助学生在情境中理解和记忆课文内容，并锻炼学生的听力能力。 3. Let’s learn ①出示多媒体课件，让学生根据图片回答： What’s in the picture What’s in the tree ②引导学生思考推理： Look at the bird, what’s he looking for --He’s looking for water. Why -- Because he is very thirsty. ③教师继续播放多媒体课件，学生听语音回答问题： Is there some water in the bottle ？ --Yes, there is. Can he drink the water --No, he can’t. ④教师继续播放多媒体课件，学生听语音回答问题： What can he do ？ Do you have some ideas --Yes, he does. ⑤同学们再次听语音，回答问题： How does the bird get the water --He puts the stones into the water. Can he drink the water at last --Yes, he can. 4.
