Module 3 Unit 2 This year we are training more carefully
教学设计(第1课时)
一、教学目标
1. 复习本模块的重点词汇、短语和句型。
2. 能够运用所学语言知识谈论体育活动。
3. 培养学生的听说能力。
二、教学重难点
重点:1. 复习词汇,如:fan, train, against 等。
熟练运用比较级和现在进行时描述体育相关内容。
难点:准确、流利地进行听说交流,表达对体育的看法。
三、教学方法
情景教学法、任务型教学法、小组合作法
四、教学过程
(一)Warming-up
1. Play a short video about different sports. The video shows exciting game moments and athletes' wonderful performances.
2. After the video, ask students some questions related to sports:
What kind of sports did you see in the video
Which sport do you think is the most exciting
Do you often do sports If yes, what kind of sports do you usually do
(二)Vocabulary Review
1. Show some pictures on the screen. These pictures include sports equipment. Ask students to say the words and phrases related to sports.
2. Have a vocabulary quiz.
3.After the quiz, go through the answers together and emphasize the pronunciation and spelling of the words.
(三)Grammar Review
1. Review the comparative degree and the present continuous tense:
(1)Show some sentences on the PPT. Ask students to identify the grammar points.
(2)Let students make some sentences using the comparative degree and the present continuous tense. For instance, ask them to compare two sports they like or describe what they are doing for sports at the moment.
(3)Provide some incorrect sentences and ask students to correct them.
2. Do some grammar exercises:
(四)Listening Practice
1. Play the listening material of this unit for the first time. Ask students to listen carefully and answer some simple questions:
How many sports are mentioned in the dialogue
Who is the speaker talking to
2. Play it again and let students fill in the blanks or complete the sentences.
3. After the listening, check the answers together and play the recording once more for students to listen to the difficult parts again.
(五)Speaking Practice
1. Divide students into groups of four. Give each group a topic card:Your Favourite Sport, The Most Popular Sport in Your School, The Benefits of Doing Sports.
2. Ask them to have a discussion within the group. Each student should share their opinions and reasons. Encourage them to use the vocabulary and grammar they just learned.
3. Each group selects a representative to share their group's discussion in front of the class.
(六)Summary
1. Review the key points of this module, including the vocabulary, grammar and speaking skills. Show them on the PPT.
2. Encourage students to keep practicing English in their daily life.
(七)Homework
1. Write a short passage about your sports activities this week. Try to use the comparative degree and the present continuous tense. (At least 50 words)
2. Prepare a presentation about a famous sports star. You can introduce their achievements, training experiences, and personalities. (About 2-3 minutes)

(一)Revision
1. Review the vocabulary and grammar of this module by having a dictation.
2. After the dictation, quickly go through the answers and correct the mistakes.
3. Invite some students to present their homework about the famous sports star. .
(二)Reading Practice
1. Give students a reading passage about a sports event.
2. Ask them to read it quickly and answer some general questions:
What is the main sport in the passage
Where did the event take place
Who won the game in the end
3. Let them read it carefully again and answer some detailed questions:
How many teams participated in the event
What strategies did the winning team use
4. Describe the performance of a particular player.
5. Explain some difficult words and sentences.
6. Ask students to summarize the main idea of the passage. Work in pairs and then share their summaries with the class.
(三)Writing Practice
1. Guide students on how to write a composition about a sports activity or a match:
2. Provide a structure for the composition.
3. Give them some useful expressions and sentence patterns.
4. Remind them to pay attention to the grammar, spelling and punctuation.
(四)Feedback and Evaluation
1. Students exchange their compositions with their partners. They should read each other's work carefully and correct the mistakes in spelling, grammar and punctuation.
2. Select some compositions and show them on the screen. The teacher and the students together evaluate them based on the clarity of the content, the correctness of the language, and the logic of the organization. Give positive feedback first and then point out the areas that need improvement. Provide specific suggestions for revision.
3. After the evaluation, give students some time to revise their own compositions based on the feedback they received.
(五)Summary
1. Summarize the key points of this lesson, including the reading and writing skills. Emphasize the importance of understanding the main idea in reading and expressing oneself clearly and accurately in writing.

(六)Homework
