Yuzuru Hanyu is considered to be the greatest figure skater (花样滑冰运动员) who ever lived. By the age of 10, he had already competed national competition and won gold. But the young skater's life has not been without its challenges.
In 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake happened in his hometown of Sendai. Hanyu was then on the ice when the earthquake happened, and he had to leave with his skates still on his feet. According to the students at Belding Middle School in Michigan, US, you do it to express yourself. They learned about this from a famous guitarist Joel Mabus.
The school invited Mabus to give a show to more than 50 seventh-graders on March 27.The students have either taken or are taking a guitar class at the school. Mabus performed a number of short pieces. He also taught students several skills for playing the guitar.
