“Oh, no, my bike went missing again!” How many of you had this happen to you Now with Yerka, the world's first unstealable bike, this won't be a problem anymore.
Three Chilean engineers designed Yerka. It looks just like a normal bike. But the bottom tube (管子) of the frame (车架) can turn into two parts. There is a hole in each of those parts. And the seat with a long tube can be pulled out. When the user puts the seat tube into the two holes, it will make a perfect lock. Now you can lock your bike around a pole, fence (篱笆) or even a tree. It can all be done in just 10 seconds, as fast as tying your shoelaces (鞋带).
But why is the bike unstealable According to the designers, if a thief tried to steal Yerka, he would have to break the frame. That is the best-built part of the bike, and without this the bike would be useless. If the thief breaks the pole or fence that the bike was locked on to, he won't be able to ride it. The frame is still in its locked position. So the bike is impossible to ride.
Andres, one of the designers, had two of his bikes stolen in a short period of time. This inspired the team to invent Yerka, he told the UK newspaper The Daily Telegraph.
The designers are now working on an app, which will allow users to unlock their bike using a smartphone. Isn't that cool

Humans have kept animals as pets for tens of thousands of years. But have you ever imagined we would have robotic pets instead of real animals in the future
Jean-Loup Rault, PhD, an animal scientist at the University of Melbourne in Australia, believes robot companions (伴侣) are going to be our new pets.
There are a lot of benefits for a robotic pet. “You don't have to feed it, you don't have to walk it, it won't make a mess in your house, and you can go on holidays without feeling bad,” Rault said.
It's not clear whether or not robotic pets would completely replace real ones. When a Japanese robot seal called Paro was introduced to hospital patients, it helped improve their moods and build social bonds.
However, robotic pets may affect our attitudes toward living animals. “If we get used to a robotic companion that doesn't need food, water or exercise, perhaps it will change how humans care about other living beings,” Rault said. So are dogs and cats a thing of the past, as Rault says. Maybe for future pet owners who are so closely tied to technology.
( )63.Which of the following is NOT a benefit of a robotic pet
A.You don't need to take it out for a walk.
B.You don't need to prepare food for it.
C.It can communicate with you very well.

D.The animal pets'.
( )65.What does Rault want to tell us from the passage
A.Robotic pets would completely replace real ones.
B.Robotic pets would become more and more popular.
C.Humans should care more about other living beings.
D.Robotic pets would be the best gift for sick people.
( )66.Which of the following best shows the structure of the passage
( )67.Which would be the best title for the passage
A.Real animals in the future
B.Robotic pets
C.Pet owners
D.Pet companions

People are saying that virtual reality technology (VR, 虚拟现实技术) is going to change our lives in the future. VR technology puts you in a new world when you're really just standing in your room.
VR is a computer technology that creates a 360° environment for users to see. They can even interact (互动) with everything around them. All you have to do is to put on a set of goggles (护目镜). The technology follows the user's head movements, and then the view changes in this virtual world, too.
And now, moviemakers are trying to put you in the movies with VR! But directors are trying to figure out the visual effects to make this work. Usually the director shows people what to see, but with VR, the user is in control.
But the amazing part is so, instead of watching the action you will be a part of it. You can be in space with Matt Damon in The Martian or be in the world of the movie Frozen. It's the next step up from 3D and IMAX films.
This isn't where the potential for VR ends, either. The Guardian says scientists are looking for ways VR could help children with attention deficit disorder (多动症) and old soldiers who face post-traumatic stress disorder (创伤后应激障碍).
Imagine being able to study in a classroom with students from all over the world or visiting your doctor just by using VR goggles. That's where Mark Zuckerberg, creator of Facebook, sees VR going. So, how would you use virtual reality in your daily life
( )68.What can the goggles do
A.They can help people protect their eyes.
B.They can give people a 360° environment to see.
C.They can record the user's head movements.
D.They help people see the real world differently.
( )69.If VR is used in movies, which of the following will come true
A.Users can direct the movies in a new way.
B.Users will be a part of the movies.
C.Users can't watch the movies anymore.
D.3-D and IMAX films will disappear.
( )70.What does Mark Zuckerberg think about the future of VR
A.It may help students from all over the world study together.
B.There will be no hospitals anymore.
C.Nothing in our daily life will be the same.
D.It may bring many new illnesses.
( )71.What's the theme (主题) of the passage
A.Celebrations.
B.Feelings.
C.Sports.
D.Science.
( )72.What's the story mainly about
A.Virtual reality's uses in medical areas.
B.How people will watch movies in the future.
C.The use of VR goggles in our lives.
D.What virtual reality technology will bring us.

Coffee has been a part of people's lives for thousands of years, and it is still a popular drink in the world. Here is a story of coffee about how it was discovered. Long long ago, one day a farmer in Africa was watching his goats, and he saw them eating some berries from a plant. The goats became very active after they ate the berries. The man often felt tired, so he decided to try the berries, too.
