Flying is a fast way to travel. But it is a big headache for some people. They can't help worrying about things like, “Is turbulence (颠簸) a bad thing ” or “Is it dangerous if we don't change our mobile phones to flight mode ” British newspaper Daily Mail spoke to some experts to answer these questions. They also told us other interesting things about flying.
Is turbulence dangerous It's scary and uncomfortable. But it is not something you really need to worry about. Wind, thunderstorms and being close to mountains can be reasons for this. Turbulence is caused when two groups of air hit one another at different speeds.
Why are plane windows round Round windows are for passengers' safety. As the airplane flies higher and higher, the outside atmospheric pressure (气压) gets lower and lower. During the flight, the pressure inside the plane becomes greater than the pressure outside.
When this happens, square windows may break. That's because having different pressures inside and outside puts stress on the corners of square windows. But rounded corners can spread the pressure through the window.
What will happen when a phone isn't on flight mode Some passengers believe mobile phones and tablets need to be turned off because they could bring the plane down. However, this is not true.
If you don't change your phone to flight mode, pilots and air traffic controllers may hear unpleasant sounds in their headphones. It also influences radio communications. So it's still best to put it on flight mode.

C.It will make the plane drop suddenly.
D.It can break off the plane wings.
( )61.Why do planes use round windows rather than square ones
A.Because round windows can spread the pressure.
B.Because round windows can add outside stress.
C.Because square windows can lower the pressure on the windows.
D.Because the corners of square windows are difficult to make.
( )62.Where may the passage be taken from

Around 90 years ago, an article in a small Scottish newspaper started a mystery that's still unsolved today. The Inverness Courier reported that a local woman, named Aldie Mackay, had seen a “huge beast (怪兽)” in the waters of Loch Ness —a huge lake in the Scottish Highlands.
“The creature showed itself... its body which was similar to a whale. Soon, however, it disappeared. Besides its huge size, the beast sent out waves that were big enough to have been caused by a passing ship,” the article read.
Mackay's story brought the legend (传说) of the Loch Ness Monster into the public eye. However, there were many similar reports made as far back as the 7th century.
Since the article was published, there have been “over 1,000 eyewitness (目击者) accounts and lots of unexplained evidence (证据), leaving scientists confused (糊涂的),” stated Scotland's official tourism website.
The look of the beast was different, but the common description is that it's a mix between a dinosaur and a dragon. Dragons are often scary, but the Loch Ness Monster is not the same.
Nessie, the beast's nickname, is actually a gentle giant. If you visit a local tourist spot, you will see smiling Nessie paintings and stuffed toys (毛绒玩具) in shop windows.
A local business even offers “Nessie hunting” trips, using boats fitted with high-tech sonar equipment (声呐设备). However, these are just for fun, and the guides will often tell funny stories to the passengers as they sail across the beautiful loch.
There is no real evidence to prove (证明) Nessie exists (存在), meanwhile, nothing to disprove it. So who's to say that we can't just enjoy the legend and go along for the ride

I spent the rest of the night in front of my computer, of course, still laughing.
When it was time to get ready for work, . I decided to call my boss for leave, but laughing was the only thing I could do on the phone.
After listening to my “lovely” laughter for a few minutes, my boss couldn't help shouting angrily. “Are you mad You're fired (解雇)!”

One Possible Version:
My lucky day
I will always remember the date September 14th, 2016.This was the luckiest day of my life.
When I woke up that morning it was raining. I was about to go to the bus station to take the bus to school when my uncle called me up. He said he could gave me a lift in his car. Later that day, I realized I had left my wallet at home and couldn't buy lunch. My best friend Lisa said she could share her lunch with me, so I had a free lunch. After that, I was praised by my math teacher because I got the highest score in the math exam. I couldn't believe that I did so well, neither could my parents. That night they were so happy that they promised me that they would buy a new bike for me as a prize.
I think that was the best day I'd had. What a lucky day!
