Step 1 Lead-in
1. Play a video about beautiful natural scenery. Guide students to describe the scenes in the video using the vocabulary and sentence patterns learned in this module.
2. Invite some students to share their thoughts and experiences.
Step 2 Vocabulary and Sentence Pattern Review
1. Show some pictures and ask students to say the related vocabulary and phrases.
2. Give some sentences and ask students to do sentence transformation:Changing declarative sentences into exclamatory sentences.
Step 3 Object Clause Explanation
1. Present several sentences containing object clauses.
2. Explain the guide words (that, if/whether, special question words), word order (declarative word order) and tenses (subject-present-tense-object-any-tense, subject-past-tense-object-past-tense, objective truth-present-tense) of object clauses.
3. Let students understand and master the usage of object clauses through example sentences and exercises.
Step 4 Listening Practice
1. Play a listening material containing object clauses. Ask students to complete exercises such as filling in the blanks or choosing the correct answers.
2. Play the listening material again, check the answers and explain the key points.
Step 5 Speaking Practice
1. Give some topics: "My Favourite Place" "An Unforgettable Trip". Ask students to have group discussions and communicate using object clauses.
2. Invite several groups of students to present. Other groups evaluate and supplement.
Step 6 Summary
1. Summarize the key points of vocabulary, sentence patterns and object clauses reviewed in this class.
2. Emphasize the importance of object clauses in language expression.
Step 7 Homework
1. Write three sentences about your own travel or favourite place using object clauses.
2. Recite the key words and phrases of this module.
