为什么魏芬发现学习英语很难
find it + adj. + to do sth. 意为“发现做某事......”。 find 后接复合宾语，其中it 在句中做形式宾语，真正的宾语是后面的动词不定式to do sth.，形容词在句中做宾语补足语。类似的结构还有：make/think+ it +adj. + to do sth.“使/认为做某事......”。同类的动词还有feel, consider等。

secret还可用作形容词，意为"秘密的;保密的"。

so... that...表示“如此......以至于”，引导结果状语从句，so后接形容词或副词。常用结构为:

such that
表达“如此......以至于......” 还可以用such...that...结构。
such a/an+形容词+可数名词单数+that从句
such+形容词+可数名词复数/不可数名词+that从句
such和so的区分
so…that与such…that之间的转换既为 so与such之间的转换。
so和such的区别是：
⑴ so修饰形容词或副词, such修饰名词。
e.g. My brother runs so fast that I can’t follow him.
我弟弟跑得那么快以至于我跟不上他。
He is such a boy. 他是一个这样的孩子。
⑵ so修饰的形容词后可以有一个单数的可数名词，其结
构是“so+形容词+a/an+可数名词单数”。
such可以修饰可数名词单复数和不可数名词，名词前可以有形容词作定语，其结构是：
“such+a/an+形容词+可数名词单数”，
“such+形容词+可数名词复数/不可数名词”。
e.g. He is so clever a boy. =He is such a clever boy.
他是一个如此聪明的孩子。
It is such cold weather. 这么冷的天气。（正）
It is so cold weather.（误）
They are such good students. （正）
They are so good students. （误）
⑶ 如果可数名词复数前有many，few或不可数名词前有much，little修饰，用so不用such。
so many（如此多的），so few（如此少的）可以加可数名词复数 so much（如此多的），so little（如此少
的）可以加不可数名词。
巧记so和such的用法：
名前such, 形，副so，多多少少也用so；
little属特殊，“小”用such,“少”用so。
(4) 当little作“小的”讲，修饰名词时，其前面仍须用
such, 而不用so。
e.g. They are such little children that they can’t do
anything. 这些孩子太小了，无法做任何事情。
4. I was afraid to ask questions because of my poor
pronunciation. 因为我糟糕的发音，我害怕问问题。
（1）be afraid to do sth. 表示 “害怕做某事”。
The man is afraid to travel by plane.

【辨析】
be afraid to do sth. 常表示“因为害怕而不敢或没有胆量去做某事”
be afraid of doing sth. 常表示“害怕或担心发生某种(意外)情况”
be afraid to do sth. 与be afraid of doing sth.
The girl is afraid to cross the bridge.
那个女孩不敢过桥。
The boy is afraid of falling into the river from the bridge.
那个男孩害怕从桥上掉进河里。
(2) because of 表示“因为;由于”。
He walked slowly because of his bad leg.
他走得慢是因为腿有毛病。
[解析] because of 与because
because of 短语介词，后接名词(短语)、代词或动词-ing形式做宾语,在句中做状语
because 连词，引导原因状语从句、表示直接原因，常用于回答why引导的问句
They didn't go to the museum because of the rain.
= They didn't go to the museum because it rained.
因为下雨，他们没去博物馆。
5. I discovered that listening to something interesting is the secret to language learning.
我发现听有趣的东西是语言学习的秘快。
discover 动词，意为“发现;发觉”。
Columbus discovered America.

【辨析】dicover 与 invent
