Step 1 Leading-in1. Ask Ss to discuss the following questions in pairs a. Do you like English b. How do you learn English c.What things are difficult for you when you learn English 2.Show some pictures and ask Ss to fill in the blanks.[Purpose] To arouse Ss' interest and create a learning environment. Step 2 Pre-listening1. Let Ss check the statements that are true for them in 1a. 2.Lead Ss to write down other difficulties in 1b 3. Ask Ss to give some advice to the problems.4.Let Ss read the sentences in 1c and try to guess the answers[Purpose] To prepare for the listening activities. Step 3 While-listening 1.Play the tape and finish 1c.2. Listen again and let Ss complete 1d. 3. Ask Ss to listen again and fill in the blanks.4.Let Ss read after the tape [Purpose] To improve Ss' listening ability.Step 4 Post-listening1. Ask Ss to role-play the conversations using the information in 1c and 1d.
