一、教学目标

Step 1 Lead-in
1. Show a picture of a warm and bustling Thanksgiving family dinner on the screen. Point to different elements in the picture and ask: "What can you see in this picture Do you notice the rich food on the table The smiling faces of people " "Do you have any idea what festival this is "
2. Play a short and vivid animation about the origin of Thanksgiving. Pause during key moments to explain and ask students questions like: "What do you think happened next " "Why do you think this event was important "
Step 2 Vocabulary Learning
1. Present the key vocabulary through multimedia.
2.Organize students to loudly follow and read the words together. Then, conduct individual pronunciation checks and correct any incorrect pronunciations. Next, have students do spelling practices on their notebooks or whiteboards to reinforce memory.
Step 3 Pre-reading
1. Put forward several guiding questions on the board or through slides: "Why do people celebrate Thanksgiving " "Who were the first to celebrate it " "What might be the traditional foods for this festival "
2. Divide students into small groups and give them a few minutes to have a brief but intense discussion. Encourage them to share their initial thoughts and possible predictions based on their existing knowledge and the questions provided.
Step 4 While-reading
