may, might后接动词原形
adv.修饰形容词或动词
情态动词本身有一定的词义，为谓语动词增添情态色彩，表示说话人对有关行为或事物的态度和看法，认为其可能、应该或必要等。
我们学习过的can和 may都属于这类词。情态动词一般无人称和数的变化，后面接的动词需用原形，否定式是在情态动词后面加not。
情态动词
may和might都可以用来表示推测：也许；可能。否定形式分别是may not和might not。
情态动词may和might表推测
may和might没有太大区别，形式上might是may的过去式，但在表示将来的推测时，might表示的可能性比might还要小
e.g. I think David may be at school.
That woman may not be Mark’s mother.
How long might the travel take
Susan might not return tomorrow.
表示可能的方式有很多，除使用情态动词may/might以外，还可以通过will以及表示“可能”的形容词和副词表达，常用的有：It is possible to do sth., It is possible that…, 主语+will probably / possibly +v. 等。
e.g. Is it possible to visit Alaska in December
It is possible that it will snow in the night.
It will probably be cold and wet.
probably表示“很可能”，所表示的可能性比possibly要大。
