教材分析:
教材第六单元的Topic 2 How about exploring Tian’anmen Square中的section B是一节听说课, 围绕Michael, Darren, Kangkang 三位主人公游览天安门广场前,中,后的活动来设置文本内容。而Section B 在本单元的文本中起到了一个承前启后的作用。在1a和2的听力输入中介绍了天安门广场的长、宽、面积、主要建筑极其历史等,让主人公在游览前做到心中有数。而在3a中,教材通过一张天安门广场的简略中文地图,帮助学生巩固广场内建筑的英文表达,与此同时培养学生按照方位描述某个景点或地点的能力。不仅如此,整个Section B的内容设计也有利于培养学生热爱祖国大好河山。
教学目标

Step1: Warming up
简单向学生问好,简单口头上回顾一下上节课学的内容,让学生在生理和心理上都有一个准备的过程。

Step2: Presentation
通过观看关于天安门广场的PPT,让学生慢慢地进入学习状态;并对接下来要学习的内容主题有一个大概的了解。

Step 3: Pre-listening (3a/3b)
通过教材3a的Map,结合相关建筑的图片进行相关词汇和词组的教学,如monument、rostrum,chairman, north, south等。
通过图片对相关的建筑名称进行教学和识记。并完成3a/3b的练习。
通过图示让学生发现和总结方位介词 in/on/to 的用法。
把3a和3b的教学放在教学过程的开始阶段,有利于帮助学生熟悉相关建筑的名称,为教材中1a和2的听力训练做准备。
