注意:
pick up是“动词+副词”型短语,人称代词作宾语时必须置于pick与up。

pain n. 疼,疼痛
既可表示肉体上的“疼痛”,也可表示精神上的“痛”。
泛指疼痛时是不可数名词,常构成短语in (great) pain; 特指身体某个部位疼痛时是可数名词, 常用于短语have a pain / pains in ...
e.g. My back gave me a lot of pain.
She was injured and in great pain.

【语境应用】翻译句子。
1) 你能感到痛吗?

引导时间状语从句。在含有as soon as引导的时间状语从句的主从复合句中,如果主句用一般将来时,as soon as引导的时间状语从句用一般现在时表将来。

An accident
One day, when a woman was getting dinner ready for the animals at a zoo, her hand began to hurt. A few days earlier, some monkeys arrived at the zoo. As she was feeding the monkeys, one of them bit her hand. She didn't pay much attention at first. However, while she was cooking dinner, she began to have a lot of pain in her hand. Then she hurried to hospital. As soon as the doctors checked her, they gave her the right medicine.
You may think that monkeys are friendly animals, but they are not. Sometimes they can be very dangerous and may bite people. So when you're near them, be careful.
