本课施教对象是初中四年级的学生,已经有了一定的英语基础,并且本课时是本单元的第三课时,学生在前两个课时已经就“健康地生活(Living healthily)”这一话题,能用英语谈论了对自己来说重要的事情,并对习惯和行为进行比较,并且能够就日常生活中常见的健康问题和情绪问题发表看法,同时也具有一定的英语阅读策略和技巧。

根据听课教师观课量表可以看到绝大多数学生能够积极参与自主学习和小组活动,有百分之85以上的学生能够在老师的指导和小组同伴的帮助下完成本节课的知识目标,有百分之75以上的学生能够独立完成阅读写作这一能力目标,有百分之25左右的学生在小组长的帮助下能够基本完成写作任务。根据课堂上学生自我做出的自我评价,有59名同学对自己的评价是A,有15名同学对自己的评价是B,和观课老师的观课记录基本相符。
另外,从观课老师的情感量表来看,学生对本节课的内容和活动非常感兴趣 ,达到了学生能够学英语、用英语的目的,同时,通过学习学生也能够用所学知识来正确地指导自己的行动,从而在生活中能够合理的作息,健康地生活。

【设计意图】我校一直倡导学生自主学习习惯的培养,自主预习一直是我们培养学生自主学习的能力之一,为此我们每节课都会有一个预习检测,旨在检查学生的预习情况,同时也是督促学生预习习惯的养成,做到有布置有检查。

2a 是一个读前活动,目的是激活学生的相关背景知识,以利于理解下面的文章。

很多年前,在大学毕业实习时,我的指导老师张老师对我们这些准老师说:“老师在课堂上,要像放风筝一样,要收放自如。”现在,每当我站在讲堂上,我都会想到张老师的话,是啊,老师,就应该是那个牵线的人,引领着学生走进一片广阔的天空,从而让学生自由地飞翔起来,翱翔在知识的天空。所以我在设计这节英语阅读课时,首先想到的是要把学生看做是生命的主体,把学生放在一个重要的位置,尊重关注每个学生,从而满足每个学生的需求,让学生获得更多的自信感,更多的成功感。这节英语课上,我基本上用导学――自学――提出问题――小组解决问题――教师释疑――巩固总结来进行。  
一、首先,我向学生提出问题,Who is the tallest student in our class? 紧接着我又向学生提问:Who weighs the most in our class? Who weighs the least in our class? 从而让学生们探讨,要想获得健康的生活方式他们应该怎样做?当然是:多锻炼少吃,然后我又把自己的烦恼告诉学生:I have trouble sleeping. 让学生帮我出主意:我该怎么办?从而引出本课话题:It’s important to get enough sleep.  
二、导入话题时,从学生们的睡眠时间来进行探讨,看他们是否有充足的睡眠,从而让学生更加深对本节课的理解。  
三、阅读时采用scanning、skimming 、careful reading等反复阅读的方式,来加强学生的阅读技巧的指导和阅读能力的培养,并且从分析重点字词句,关键句的掌握,分析句子结构方面,都作了大量的设计,从而让学生在阅读过程中,潜移默化地提高了自己的学习兴趣。  
四、让学生把自己看作是课堂的主人,充分发挥他们小组的积极作用,让他们大胆发言,而不仅仅是拘泥于老师的讲授和老师被动地接受知识。有简单的问题组内统一解决,这样既节约了时间,也让学生体会自己学习知识的快乐。  
   
   
课标分析
《新课标》英语课程的目的,即在发展学生综合语言运用能力的过程中,培养学生良好的道德品质和社会适应能力,提升整体国民素质,促进科技创新和跨文化人才的培养。也就是说英语课程不再是单纯的工具性课程,而是具有工具性和人文性双重性质的课程。英语学习不再是简单地提升学生的综合语言运用能力,还承担着提高学生综合人文素养的任务。学生通过英语课程能够开阔视野,丰富生活经历,形成跨文化意识,增强爱国主义精神,发展创新能力,形成良好的品格和正确的人生观与价值观。本单元It’s important to have good habits .围绕谈论良好的生活方式,主要让学生进一步练习不定式的有关用法,学会谈论某物对你来说有多重要,掌握并学会比较生活习惯和生活方式的方法,养成良好的生活习惯,做到身心都能健康发展,学习内容与学生实际联系紧密,具有一定的实践意义。
《新课标》还强调教师要通过创设接近实际生活的各种语境,采用循序渐进的语言实践活动,以及各种强调过程与结果并重的教学途径和方法,如任务型语言教学途径等,培养学生用英语做事情的能力。It’s important to get enough sleep .这一教学内容和学生实际密切相关,在学生语言学习过程中,可以运用富有学习成效的各种语言教学途径和方法,创造性地设计贴近学生的教学活动,尽可能多地为他们提供在真实语境中运用语言的机会。
在遵循课标要求的前提下,在本课的任务型语言教学中,让学生学会自主学习、合作探究 ,把学生的自主学习和创新能力最大程度的激发出来。创造性地设计问题和任务活动,吸引和组织学生积极参与,使学生学会观察、思考、讨论、交流和合作。
