教学重点: Get the structure and the specific information of the passage through reading.
教学难点: After reading, talk about your own future job and write it down on the page for the class yearbook.
教学过程
Step 1 Leading-in Enjoy a video of the class yearbook that made by former students. Encourage students to make their own class yearbook. 设计意图:通过学生制作的年刊导入本单元关于未来的话题,再到课文,顺理成章。同时学习本课单词:yearbook, page。 Step 2 Reading for general idea 1.Read the passage and divide it into 3 parts.
Part 1: Para.1 Part 2: Para.2-Para.3 Part 3: Para.4 2. Read and match the main idea with each part. Tiantian’s attitude for her future. Part 1 Tiantian’s dream of being an airplane pilot and her problem. Part 2 Tiantian’s dream of being an engineer. Part 3 设计意图:通过快速阅读,学生了解文章主要内容,对文本进行分层并概括大意,梳理文章结构。 Step 3 Reading for specific information 1. Read Part 1 quickly and write T or F. Tiantian is sure about her future. ( ) 2. Scan the QR code and watch Leo’s video. 2. Read Leo’s passage aloud and analyze the structure of it. 设计意图:通过思维导图,梳理文章结构,给学生复述文章提供框架。在复述的过程中,学生对本课重点单词和短语进行了应用实践。 Step 6 Think and talk Share your ideas about your future job with classmates. 设计意图:鼓励学生思考并分享自己的职业梦想。通过思考,学生能够根据自己的实际情况对未来进行规划并为之努力。通过分享,学生们可以了解其他同学的职业目标,并对本课重点词汇和短语进行应用实践和迁移创新。为完成自己的年刊页面做好准备。 Step 7 Make a yearbook! Imagine your future. Write a short passage about your future job on your page for the class yearbook. Evaluate your passage according to the self- assessment. 设计意图:通过制作班级年刊页,学生把整理好的思路落实到笔头。学生根据自评表对文章进行自评,对本课所学的文章结构知识进行迁移创新。 Step 8 Homework Need to do: 1.Improve your writing. 2.Beautify the layout of your page for the class yearbook.
