教学目标
学生通过本节课学习,能达到以下几项目标:

1)听:能听懂对方关于过去生活的描述。
2)说:能用英语描述自己和同学过去的生活。

通过练习能用英语描述自己的过去的生活,培养自己对生活的热爱。

Step I: Lead in: vocabulary

Step II: Listen and number the questions as you hear them.
Let Ss Predict the order at first.
Who was your first teacher?
What was your first school like
Where were you born

Step III: Listen and answer the questions.
1) Where was Betty born
2) What was her first school like
3) How many students in Betty’s class
4) Who was her first teacher
5) Was Betty's teacher strict
【设计意图】本次的课前听力其实是课文内容的一个延伸。介绍了Betty的过去的生活。把书上的对错题改编成问答题,增加难度,练习听力和速记的能力。

【设计意图】第二段录音可以改编的地方较多,可以进行信息转换练习学生听力能力,练习学生关键信息的提取。

含be 动词的一般过去时:
主语是第一人称/第三人称单数名词(代词)时,be 动词为____;
当主语是第二人称或复数名词(代词)时,be 动词为_____。

教学反思:
be动词的过去时态难度并不大,但是,学习在口语练习时转换的还不自如,所以,在本节课的对话环节设计了两处对话的练习,让学生分别练习含有be动词的过去时态的一般疑问句和特殊疑问句的。
