2. 设计思路
本课是本单元的第五课时，本单元第一课时铺垫了语言对于思维的影响，通 过词汇课和语法课我们掌握了主语从句和表语从句，在视听说课中了解了一些语 言正处于濒危状态。本节课通过分析大脑内部结构的变化，解释为何语言对于思 维会造成影响。首先，通过读前的预测活动，学生可以猜测文本大意。然后通过 略读 ， 了解文章大意 ，并找出文章中语言对大脑造成的三个影响 ，分别为 developing the brain, tuning out distractions 以及 delaying Alzheimer’s disease。在查 读的过程中，通过对段落主旨句的寻找，学生逐渐了解到科普文的结构特征。接 下来，教师引导学生逐步分析语言对大脑造成的三个影响，并在分析的过程中找 出研究对象，研究过程，研究结果，概括科普文的语言特征。最后，学生观看视 频，进一步探究语言学习对大脑和思维方式的影响，提升学习外语的积极性。
3. 重点难点
本节课的重难点在于对作者核心观点的三个论据支撑的理解以及科普文章 的文体特征，尤其是语言特征和内容特征。
