Months and Festivals
There are twelve months in a year. There are three hundred and sixty- five or three hundred and sixty- six days in the twelve months all together. The first month is January. New Year's Day is in this month. It's on the first day of the month. February is the shortest(最短的) month. There are usually only twenty- eight days in it. But there are twenty- nine days in this month every four years. The Spring Festival is usually in January or February. Women's Day is on March eighth. It is a special day for women all over the world(全世界). The Tomb- sweeping Day(清明节) is usually in April in China. On that day, people come back home and sweep tombs with their families. The second Sunday of May is Mother's Day. You should do something for your mother. You like June, right Because Children's Day is in June. Remember(记着) the third Sunday of June. It is the Father's day. So don't forget(忘记) to do something for your father. In July and August, children have summer vacation. It's wonderful for children to have a lot of free time to do everything they like. Children go back to school in September. They celebrate Teachers' Day on September 10th. The Mid- Autumn Festival is in September or October. The whole family gets together and they have a big dinner. They enjoy the bright full moon in the evening. They also eat moon cakes and fruits. National Day is on October the first. They all dress up in their best clothes. They hang out the national flags. Many people go to Tian'anmen Square to enjoy flowers, and they watch the fireworks at night. The Double Ninth Festival is usually in October. People climb mountain s with their families and eat Chongyang cake on that day. These are many other different festival s in different months. Which month do you like best
