Travel on the Internet
教材分析:
1. This lesson comes from Unit 4 The Internet Connects Us . The whole unit focus on the using the Internet to do some useful things, which has closely to do with student's life.
2. This unit introduces the Internet, which is close to students' daily life and better discusses the convenience brought by the Internet.
3. This lesson introduces different activities that can be done through the Internet to make life more convenient . At the beginning of the lesson, I put a guessing game to lead into the Internet. I create a website about online traveling where we can travel around the world and we can use 3D or VR to see view like real..The course contains a rich vocabulary of scientific information, standardized language, compact content, and five different famous places around the world.

Objectives of the Unit
By the end of the unit , the students will be able to :
1. Grasp the key words and patterns about the Internet and technology.
2. Continue to build up the ability in listening , speaking , reading, writing and translating.
3. Know how to use the Internet through the six different texts.
4. Talk about the Internet helps us and connects us around the world.
5. Raise students’ thinking ability to know the two side of things, for example the advantages and disadvantages.
6. Build their emotion to do useful things to help people in need on the Internet to make our world better.
Objectives of the Lesson
By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to :
1. Grasp the key words: receive, cancer, blessing, pyramid, Egypt.

If I use the Internet , I can...
If you go to ... you will / can ...
2. Get students to know how to use the Adverbial Clause with "if" to introduce places and talk about online activities correctly.
3. Grasp the reading skills of skimming, scanning, key words and careful reading .
4. Understand the useful online activities on their daily life, and lead students to ask for help , offer help on the Internet to make more people's life convenient .
5. Inspire students' love of science and interest in learning English, and learn to help others in need to make our world better.
学情分析:
The second grade students have already stored a certain amount of vocabularies, and the content is familiar with the use of the Internet, which makes them more interested. In the process of reading, they can perform some reading skills such as word meaning speculation and contextual semantic speculation according to their own background knowledge and master the clues of story development, so as to clear the language barrier and gain confidence in reading. Students are more willing to participate in the interpretation of the text, and have the language foundation and psychological preparation to go beyond the text to interpret the connotation of the text. It laid a good foundation for the completion of subsequent role play, and the presentation.

Stage 1 Warming Up (2mins)
1. Greet to students and play a guessing game about the Internet.
2. Free talk about the conveniences that the Internet brings to us.
3. Understand the role of Internet in our study, work, daily life and entertainment.
Stage 2 Ask for Help on the Internet (3mins)
1. Throw out my own unattainable dream and ask for help online .
2. Create a situation using the traveling website .
3. Watch a video of VR traveler and explain the names and locations of five places
Stage 3 Offer Help on the Internet (28mins)
Relate the personal space in the created situation to elicit Jane's blog about Grandma's dream.

Read the title and guess what we want to know from the title
Activity 2 Read and Match (2mins )
Read each paragraph and match
Activity 3 Read and Answer (6mins)
Through the design of four questions, students can grasp the content of the article through reading for details.

1. How did grandma feel when she saw the pictures online
2. Read and Fill the blankets to grasp the key words and sentences.
Activity 5 Retell the Story (4mins)
Using the Mind Map and blackboard stickers to retell the story.

1. Introduce more ways to take grandma to travel around the China. Here are 3 ways: VR, video, and e-postcard.
2. Students choose places in each groups' envelope.

1. What other things we can do to help grandma and others who are in need .
2. More vulnerable people need our help through the Internet.
Stage 6 Summary (2mins)
Using adverbial clause to summary the main topic of this lesson and strength the Internet's function about this unit's main topic.
Homework and Blackboard Design
Hierarchical demonstration innovation practice the application of hierarchical classification strategy requires to assign homework. Especially, at the optional homework, I give students a gift about red big envelope with English learning materials to improve their English.
教学反思:
Most of the students achieved the expected results and were able to complete the knowledge objectives of this course. This lesson is a reading lesson, so the focus of the teaching is to develop students' reading skills. This article is familiar with the Internet and close to students' real life. Therefore, students are highly involved in the completion of the task. The overall course design task is large, and students need to concentrate on the class closely. Due to personality differences, some students are introverted and not good at expression, so they are not fully mobilized in today's performance. The new curriculum standard emphasizes that , as teachers, we should learn to make every piece of gold shine, and should teach each child according to their aptitude to comprehensively improve their core quality, so that their thinking quality and cultural character can be improved . In the future teaching work, I will pay more attention to the design of some teaching activities in line with the characteristics of students, let everyone participate in.
