本节课是这一单元的第三课时,旨在复习六大状语从句,帮助学生全面掌握各类状语从句 的用法并在语境中正确使用状语从句。由于学生已经学习了罗马游记的内容,因此本节课的教 学活动将基于此阅读篇章展开,首先,通过回答文本问题引出各类状语从句,并让学生识别各 类状语从句的形式和句法功能,包括时间状从、原因状从、结果状从、让步状从、条件状从和 目的状从,共六类,使学生回忆起状语从句的知识内容;其次,利用所学词汇让学生通过“猜 城市 ”的游戏导入第二环节即教师利用状语从句和目标词汇描述自己的旅行经历,并在每类状 语从句后引出对应的连接词,让学生在语境中理解六类状语从句的不同形式和意义;最后,让 学生效仿上一环节的内容,使用各类状语从句和目标词汇描述自己的旅行经历,使学生真正掌 握并正确运用各类状语从句。

By the end of the period, the students are expected to:
1. identify the function of six types of adverbial clauses (time, condition, result, reason, concession and purpose) by analyzing the adverbial clauses from the text;
2. understand the form and meaning of the six types of adverbial clauses in different contexts;
3. describe their own travel experiences using different types of adverbial clauses as well as words and expressions learned in previous lessons.
Procedures:

*T: Ask the students some questions regarding Reading A in this unit. *Ss: Answer the questions and locate the sentences in the reading. *T: Ask the students some questions about the adverbial clauses. *Ss: Recall different kinds of adverbial clause learnt before. Purpose: To introduce six kinds of adverbial clause (time, condition, result, reason, concession and purpose).
Guided questions:

*T: Ask the students to guess which city the teacher has traveled to by giving students key words and six kinds of adverbial clause reviewed. *Ss: By referring to the key words, make sentences with adverbial clauses and have a full understanding of the form and meaning of six kinds of adverbial clauses in the context. Purpose: To help students review the words learnt previously, understand the form and meaning of six kinds of adverbial clauses in the context and familiarize Ss with the topic of my travel experience.
