  观察及探究
  (一)it作形式主语的用法
  【观察】
  It's good for him to relax.让他放松是有益的。
  It's careless of her to forget to turn off the light.她太粗心了,忘记了关灯。
  【探究】
  it作形式主语的句子结构: It's+形容词+for/of+sb.+动词不定式.
  (二)倒装句
  【观察】
  Here comes the bus. 公共汽车来了。
  Here you are. 给你。
  There goes the bell. 铃声响了。
  There they are. 他们在那儿。
  【探究】
  副词放在句子开头时,句子要倒装。如果主语是名词,则用完全倒装;如果主语是代词,则用部分倒装。
  语法巧记口诀:
      倒装句
副词句首要倒装,两种类型不一样,
类型区别看主语,主谓顺序细思量,
“There goes the bell.”是全倒装,
“Here you are.”是部分倒装。
主语名词全倒装,主语代词部分倒装。
  (三)复合形容词作定语的用法

第三课时(1a-1e)
Study of the Text                         
What: This lesson includes matching and listening. The content is about the daily habits of different people and some new words related to the topic.
Why: This lesson can raise students' awareness of good habits and how to stay healthy.Students are guided to develop speaking skills by conducting conversations using the target language of the unit.
How: New words will be given by matching words with pictures. Students can compare different habits by interviewing and answering questions.

1.To learn some new words related to one's daily life.
2.To compare different kinds of daily habits and judge whether they are right or not.
3.To talk about how we can stay healthy.

Study of the Text                         
What: The text is about the free time activities of the students from No.5 High School. The stylistic structure of the language is more prominent and focuses on the cultivation of reading strategies and reading speed.
Why: The text and the characters are tightly related to students' life and they can resonate with the students.
How: Students can get to know free time activities by reading other students' daily life and count their frequency.Students will learn to narrate some of their habits using the language they have learned.
Teaching Objectives                         
1.To learn about the free time activities of the students from No.5 High School.
2.To determine the frequency of different activities and make sentences using adverbs of frequency.
3.To learn new words: percent, through, however, almost, none, less, point.

Purpose To improve students' ability to read and get information and lead them to have a full learning of the whole passage.
3.To learn new words: percent, through, however, almost, none, less, point. Step 4 Post-reading 1.Work on 2d and write sentences with the percentages using always, usually or sometimes. 2.Work on 2e and finish the chart. Step 5 Summary Make a summary of the whole text to make the structure clear for students. Observe whether the students can make sentences fluently and accurately. Give students a hand in time.
Purpose To consolidate students' expressions and improve their ability to summarize.
Homework: 1.Required: To introduce the free time activities of the students from No.5 High School and their frequency. 2.Optional: To interview other students about their free time activities for a class survey.

Study of the Text                         
What: 3a has students complete the model text based on the information in the chart;3b has students use the chart to organize the information, and 3c has students follow the model text and use the information they have organized to write a report about their habits.
Why: It is important to help students learn about their own habits and keep a healthy life.
How: The writing block consists of three activities with interlocking content and progressive requirements. Activity 4 provides a health quiz that students can complete to learn about their health. Students are made to be aware that language learning can serve them.

1.To learn to use adverbs of frequency to write about your habits.
2.To do a report about your habits.
3.To let students be aware of attaching much importance to good and healthy life habits.

Purpose To raise students' awareness of healthy life and improve their self-control and planning skills.
Homework: Write your ideal life habits and show them to your teacher or classmates. Adverbs of frequency should be used.
