Study of the Text                         
What: First, there is a calendar for students to write the dates on. Then, there is a listening task to lead students to learn about Vince's schedule and judge whether Vince can play tennis with Andy. Lastly, students can be familiar with the conversation by role-playing.
Why: 1a is to make the date clear. 1b and 1c are to enlarge students' expressions of dates and help them to talk about dates and plans. 1d and 1e are to develop students' listening and judging ability. 1f is to help students to have a good command of the expressions.
How: Charts and dialogues help students to be familiar with expressions of dates. Listening tasks are useful to give an example of planning and considering invitations. Conversations lead students to learn how to check the schedule and plan for an invitation.

Study of the Text                         
What: The reading part is an invitation letter and the answers. Students can learn the structure of the invitation letter and how to organize the content to reply. There are also many questions about details in the letter to help students to read carefully.
Why: 2a is to arouse students' interest in parties and lead in the topic. 2b is to lead students to figure out what kind of invitation letter it is. 2c is to help students to read the letters carefully. 2d is to enlarge students' expressions used in invitations. 2e is to put what they have learned into practice.
How: Brainstorming is easy to broaden students' horizons and activate their background information. Reading the passage is useful for them to learn the structure and content of invitation letters.

Study of the Text                         
What: The reading part is an invitation for students' parents to the opening of their new library in school, including who, what, when, how and so on. It tells students how to write an invitation letter or an e-mail. Then the calendars of two students lead students to make a plan to go shopping with others.
Why: 3a is an example for students to get information from the letter and learn to write an invitation letter. 3b is to lead students to organize their language and put what they have learned into practice. 4 is to cultivate students' ability to arrange things in daily life.
How: A writing sample and questions of detailed information are useful to lead students to learn to organize language. Information is listed for students to include in their letters and to develop their writing ability. Calendars are arranged to remind students to arrange things well.

What about Tuesday evening 3.Students do an “ask and answer” activity to see what they will do each day, and then make a decision when to go shopping together. Praise students' clear arrangements and lead them to adjust time and make plans in time.
Purpose To cultivate students' ability to arrange things and develop their communication ability.
