One day, Tracey Ferrin and her husband visited Wendy’s, a fast-food restaurant in America. The waiter who greeted them was so polite and friendly that he drew her attention right away.
Tracey recorded a video of the waiter on her phone and posted it on Facebook. Her video received about 100 likes. She later posted it on TikTok. This time, a lot more people saw it. People asked her to do a special challenge. They wanted her to raise money and give it to the friendly waiter.
Later, Tracey found out the waiter’s name was Eric. She then went back to Wendy’s, made another video of Eric serving customers with big smiles, and posted it on TikTok too.
At the same time, lots of people started sending money to Tracey, and soon she collected $40,000! Tracey met Eric and introduced herself as a writer who wanted to interview him. Then she invited Eric to her home for dinner.
Eric came without knowing what was waiting for him. Once at home, Tracey presented him with the big check. The check read:

This story teaches us two important things. First, we should always be kind and friendly. Second, we should let people know when someone does a great job. Rewarding kind and helpful people is a wonderful thing to do.
