1. A UFO is landing. 一个不明飞行物正在降落。
land作动词时有两层含义。
一是指从高空到地面的接触过程,这种降落是有目的的,带有主观性;
二是指由水路向陆路登岸的过程。

The ship landed on the island. 船在岛上登陆了。
2. He could be running for exercise. 他可能为了锻炼身体而在跑步。
(1)could be running是“could + be + doing”结构,表示对正在进行或发生的事情的推测。

(2)exercise此处作不可数名词,意为“运动;锻炼”,常用短语有do/take exercise。
